    .....so it's weak

the best player they've faced so far has been bam adebayo and two games of haliburton. i think that says it all

I too prefer Spencer because he showed he was better than average there when he was given consistent burn. I would be surprised if he signs for the vet minimum because I think he’s worth more.

Would be nice to be able to get a big that’s a bit above Gabe’s level.
But, if it’s the Gabe we saw in the playoffs with Miami, then I’ll be stoked!
It seems like all of the mid tier bigs I would want would need a S&T with DLo and something tells me that Rob would be going this route to get a PG.
Maybe he will surprise me and get a serviceable big and a PG who are on the lower side of mid tier?
I don’t want CP3 at all, but it seems inevitable based on his relationships with LeBron and JJ.
I would welcome Dillon Brooks before CP3. At least he can play defense and isn’t guaranteed to be injured come playoffs.

“gabe-level center” I take as who’s available for his salary level, rather than comparative performance as players for their respective positions?

I don't think Gabe has any market.

Maybe a young team that is short on PGs and wants some solid "vet" who brings some competitiveness and involved in a deal where they are getting something else (Rui or picks).
He's a negative value at this point, somewhat high salary, injury concerns and below average performance

Anyone have a subscription to The Athletic and see the Foster puff piece?

Not only was it a sad attempt to make you feel sorry for him, but it was probably the longest article in the history of sports. I read the first paragraph, then scrolled to the bottom. Took me a while. Then the comments was full of a weird number of people going to bat for Foster. Felt like I was in the Twilight Zone.

I saw the headline and initially thought it might be interesting to just post the link because it was Foster. But first I started reading …. and …. reading …. and yeah longest damn story ever for what it was about. Saved everyone the nuisance by NOT posting it LOL.

gabe-level center to me means a guy who's a borderline starter, 20mpg guy who's undertalented but has a rep as a pro--gets to the right spots, doesn't cause problems, etc.

something between olynyk at the high end and plumlee at the low end.

Yeah, we are going to have to let Gabe actually do something and get a good run to prove he still has some trade value.

I'm not as high on Dinwiddie as you guys are. I think he's going to have to take a 1 year deal (that has a good chance to be near or at the minimum) to prove he can shoot better than he has been doing over the past couple of years. I mean Westbrick (who also can't shoot lol) got 2 years/8 million from Balmer.

i'll be thrilled if we can re-sign dinwiddie at the vet min, and i think people are going way overboard on his shooting. the guy can score. his three point numbers were down when he was a top offensive option shooting tougher threes (harden and luka's percentages aren't great from three, but they're great shooters). his three numbers sucked here, but...lakers curse there. i think he'll be better playing off lebron and AD in this regard. put it this way: i don't think he's scared/cowed by the bright la lights. he just needed time to adjust to a role, and we didn't have that.

i actually feel similarly about gabe. we don't know what we have there. it's quite possible he shows up and his fully worth his contract, imo. i saw enough flashes in the limited time he was on the court last year--especially defensively--to believe it could happen.

but you're right--we might have to show that before anyone else would share my optimism there.

we'll see. If they let Dallas stick around, they have better closers.

Anthony Edwards told the point guard Mike Conley, that he will not allow trouble to break it and will lead the team behind him with a positive attitude.

« It's time to make history, guys! I still don’t believe that they will be able to defeat us. We could not get together all at the same time. One game. One game.

We are in this situation, what are we going to do? » – asked Edwards at the teammates in the locker room
    Too much talking

This series is awfully reminding me of the Denver series.

Denver winning games bc they could execute at crunch time despite us looking better for most of the game.

It has been the same here as the winning margin for some of these games hasn't been that high. Wolves could pull off a few wins if their stars keep firing.

KAT has a conference finals win before Joel Embiid!
