So sad about Bill Walton, I followed him his whole career because I was a big time UCLA fan. A guy who had huge moments but his health problems always held him back a bit and I always wondered what could have been had he been totally healthy. Very sad day.

damn, walton's death really makes me sad. guy was one of the most colorful characters in bball history. shame how his career was derailed by injuries, but i loved listening to him call games. remember tuning into clippers games back in the day just to hear him and lawler's banter

    RIP

Add in the fact that the refs aren’t allowing them to play lock down defense this series, like they were able to against Denver.
I like Luka, but the dude embellishes a lot. He complains a lot too.
The NBA wants Luka in the Finals and are showing us in how the games are being called. Don’t get me wrong, Luka is a great offensive player who makes insane shots, but it also can be true that Minny hasn’t been allowed to play much defense.
It’s also evident that the Wolves have nobody to bother Kyrie when he’s cooking. That dude has turned back the clock.

Great thing about Savannah, is that it’s on the coast, but rarely gets hit by Hurricanes.

He and “Snapper” Jones were pure entertainment as well- those guys would go on wild tangents. Prayers going up for the Walton family.

Walton and Lawler made Clipper broadcasts entertaining. "Throw it down, big man! Throw it down!"

In 1986, he offered his services to us but we chose Maurice Lucas. :wasntme:

For those in the know, he was an obvious descendant of the Nephilim, Rephaim, Men of Renown.

Announcer: "Why did he shoot that shot? There's others open!"
Walton: "He thinks he's Jerry West!"

Walton was the second greatest college Center of all time. Would have been top 5 NBA center of all time if his feet didn’t betray him. Only C bag I couldn’t bring myself to loath.

I saw Walton at concert in San Diego last year. Even battling cancer, the guy always had that big smile on his face. His “When I look at Boris Diaw, I think of Beethoven and the Age of Romantics” in a random Lakers/Suns game in like 2006 is still the funniest thing I’ve ever heard on a sports broadcast. RIP to an incredible basketball player and truly authentic person.
