Need to bring him back and kick Gabe Vincent's a** to the god damn curb.

He should be our primary backup guard, and IF DLO does not return, he actually should be our starting guard.

I hated how we used him after Gabe returned...completely broke his rhythm as the article stated...

I wouldn’t be mad if it was Dinwiddie as our starting PG, but who’s the backup then?
    JHS……..Come on down!!!!

Gawd, oh oh o lawd I hope not. Some players you just don't want to see in a Laker uniform, and CP3 is one of them, for me. Your mileage may vary.

Well we've recently had Brick and Ezell rock the purple and gold. Let's go for the heliflopter and make it a trifecta.

If he’s willing to play backup and on a minimum contract, that’s kind of hard to say no to. Then veggie boy needs to be in his ears asking questions all the time

If he's willing to play backup at vet min, it makes biz sense maybe. But I hope not, for the reasons that some players just rub you the wrong way and you'd hate to have to suddenly root for them 'cuz now they're a Laker.

On the other hand, the inherent non-rationality of being a hardcore fan has often been illuminating: I would have never wanted Artest, Matt Barnes, maybe Dwight, and I was not a fan of Rondo suddenly as a Laker - too many times hearing Heinsohn say "Rondo" (and "Biiig Baby!") - but I came around with all those guys. Artest seemed execrable, but by the time he left I was a big fan mostly 'cuz of the parts he played in us gettin' chip, and also his candor and activism over mental health problems.

What I'm saying is: maybe I should learn as a fanatic for the Lakers this fact: if they don a Laker uniform and they help us win, I love 'em no matter who I had made them to be the decade before.

Yea. Please disregard this entire post. CP3 at vet min? I'm listening...

Oh I think you’d find most agree with you otherwise. But my two caveats will likely never happen, and I abhor the mercenary approach to building a roster typically associated with King.

should be interesting to see who we find in the roster next year. I think more changes are coming than expected.

if dlo walks and we need to use gabe in an upgrade trade at a different position, my hope would be that dinwiddie stays on to start at pg and we can get cp3 to back him up.

here's something that will shock people: i wouldn't even be opposed to bringing back russ as a backup pg. i know it won't happen because of all the bad blood, but my point is that we may need a veteran backup pg on the cheap next year.

anyway, if we don't make a trade for a pg, my hope is that dinwiddie is our starter next year. if we make no trades, i'm good with gabe as a backup. if not, it's bargain bin hunting time, and the vets are the most likely candidates.

I’d rather die a 1000 deaths than bring Russ back. I hate CP3 but for vet minimum I’d have to hold my nose and say yes.

yeah, again i said it in part for the shock value. i think most people didn't ever want dwight back, but he left, was humbled, returned, and was loved. same could happen with russ, imo. he had to leave to learn he's a vet min 20mpg backup. now that he knows it, we might be able to use him.

Just looked it up: Russ at vet min and we only have to die 798 deaths.

Still: I'd rather die the 798 than have Brick and his "character" back in the P&G. To me, it's unthinkable, mostly due to that, ya know, nightmare he put us through.

Because of what you mentioned, and more, Ron Ron became one of my all time favorite Laker role players. I want to shake his hand and tell him how much I still appreciate his elbow to BeerdoMcFloppington’s cranium.
As for guys who came from “the other side,” Rick Fox was a C-Bag before he became a Laker. Foxy is also at the top of my list for Laker role players. Tough as nails on D, could hit the big shot when called upon, and would also fit with any combination of great players on a Chip squad.
I always would scream “Foxy Lady!!” When he hit a big shot or made a great defensive play.

    No, just no.
I don’t ever again have to force myself to watch his asinine defensive positioning.
I would much rather have to defend the developing JHS after every single game than have Brick back. And I know that JHS is still a couple of years of development away from becoming a legit backup.
