Coach K has never coached in the NBA either lol.

Meh..Do whatever, let's get to work on this roster. Those are the changes I'm more concerned about.

It’s like they hear us say - “well, it can’t get any worse” and respond with “challenge accepted.”

spo and kerr were first timers, but of a different sort in each case, imo. spo had 11 years as an assistant, starting as a video guy (like vogel). he was also elevated in-house. kerr had several years in the front office at phx. malone had been (unjustly) fired from sacramento (for overachieving?). he had 12 years as an assistant before his first head coaching gig.

kerr was an nba player, malone was the son of a coach, spo the son of an nba front office guy.

the only thing those guys really have in common, imo, is that they've all stayed put and won rings. so of course that's what you're aiming for!

LeGM will get what he wants, again, because he has the Franchise over a barrel. He can just pretend that he’s leaving if he doesn’t get the coach he wants. Pretending that Ballmer would just let us steal his Coach is a pathetic attempt to fool some of the fans.
It doesn’t even matter if JJ works out or not because he can easily be removed as soon as LeBron retires.
I don’t trust their process, but then again, I haven’t since the great Dr. Buss had to become less involved due to health reasons.

    Kerr especially.
He may be a decent coach, but that Dubbs Dynasty was stacked.
At least with Phil, we had all of the needed talent for years, before he stepped in, and couldn’t do it because of who was steering the ship.

i thought the same about spo until after lebron left. that guy does a lot with not much in miami, year after year, imo.

kerr took basically the same team mark jackson had and turned them into a title team overnight. maybe they were heading there, but it's hard to say. much like with popovich with duncan, i'd like to see what kerr does after curry is gone before putting him in the very top class, but he's just about bona fide, imo.

you left malone out, and one could argue he also walked into a pretty good spot.

i don't think you can hold it against some guys that they have talent because think about the coaches who fail with talent. i know our team last year wasn't perfect, but ham really fumbled what we did have, imo.

Buha: « JJ Redik is a small favorite among candidates for the post of head coach

A JJ Reddick is considered the main contender for the post of Lakers head coach

I still think that Jay Reddick is a small favorite among candidates, although, again, this can always change during interviews.

Perhaps someone will really impress Lakers and he will take away this title from him, but now I believe that Reddick is a little ahead of the rest of the candidates », – said Insider The Athletic

JJ is not exactly untainted as far as crazy personal stuff goes. This story was disgusting to me and I'm a liberal: https://deadspin.com/how-j-j-redicks-abortion-contract-was-conceived-912727291/

The gold digger isn’t any princess either. Apparently she was targeting NBA players if she also slept with Shaq. So many of those women are looking for the golden parachute, and stuff like this makes all parties look terrible.

Everybody has something to be ashamed of in their past.

years ago Sirron thought he was alone in a theater, who would have thought there were sting operations conducted in the dark…

I for one believe that taxpayers money were better spent somewhere else other than harassing lonely men doing their business in the dark hurting no one…
