With Klutch no longer involved, I'm much less worried. But we're not out of the woods until he's elsewhere. The #1 pick makes things very interesting for them. I still don't think there's a better deal than what SA could offer (while not really offering much of their own stuff) and that's a really good fit for Trae and pairing for Wemby.

Gobert is the most over rated player of this generation.
He has absolutely zero offensive game and is extremely overrated on defense. He can’t guard all five positions like AD can.

 

Antman has moved to the number one player I would target to build around. I feel like Luka’s body isn’t going to hold up for a long career.

 

hmm...i disagree for the same reason, actually. the fact that luka is playing on a sprained knee is actually evidence he can hold up, imo. if ant had a sprained knee, his efficacy would go to near zero. he relies on being the most athletic player on the floor (and he generally is, so yay!). luka will always be huge and incredibly skilled.

i was thinking the same thing watching the game. to me, the big difference was that KAT came to play in denver. he was punishing mismatches, etc. he just wilted when they had a chance to win the series.

meanwhile, glad to see aaron gordon turn into reggie miller against someone else.

 

this is conflicting information about the spurs interest in young--a few weeks ago i swear i read that they had said they weren't interested.

klutch was the only way he ended up here, anyway, imo. so yeah, that ship has sailed. probably a good thing, though i bet there will be some "we coulda had young, fire rob" threads when he and wemby are ahead of us in the standings next year.

this is the trade we need now. if it's true that atlanta is going into a full rebuild, we have a shot here. still a good chance that some team will outbid us, but the risk of that team doing so by offering better players is lower than it was if atlanta doesn't care about winning.

interestingly, i'd still be concerned about NO outbidding us for him by routing ingram somewhere for picks and prospects, though.
