It's not about elevating anyone you lose AR you lose your best guard. And also one of the few two way guys on the roster as Denver has shown you lose to them unless you can match them across the board. AD and Lebron did and mostly AR. DLo, Rui, bench got killed. You bring in Bridges and lose AR you're still still down in the hole. You keep AR and now your talking Lakers as title favorite instead is outside contender

How many of them are there? He's going to go broke just paying for their legal fees and extra curricular activities. Is he the one clean one or has he just not been caught yet?

Seems like maybe we could have tripped him up with bimbos and blow to help win the series, but that’s a level of commitment few aspire to.

agree man, I'm all for trying to trade with Portland. They are not going to build around this core, and Jerami Grant and Brogdon are exactly the pieces we need to be contenders again especially if we can make that happen without surrendering AR as well.

hard no to Capela from me.

yeah, brogdon/grant is 50 million coming in, so you're looking at gabe/rui/opted-in dlo. does dlo agree? i'm not sure.

just grant could be rui + gabe + jhs + 1st.

dlo walks in FA, we use the mle to sign dinwiddie.

throw a vet min and the promise of minutes to bitadze or dayron sharpe:

dinwiddie/vet min (chris paul after the next trade?)
    reaves/christie
    grant/vando
lebron/(vando and grant here, too, plus vet mins)
AD/bitadze (dayron sharpe?)/hayes or wood type

worried about depth at the guard spot. not sexy at all, but realistic.

in theory, that's a flexible lineup that could win 50+ games, imo.

Wow, so many ready to give up on AR.
Not me! I want him to play at least 15 years with us and retire a Laker.
AR ain’t even in the top five when it comes to problems with this team.

Yeah. I wouldn’t trade Austin for peanuts but I would for a clear upgrade.

The Jazz are going to want a haul. They're also going star hunting.

I'll tell you what though: they would love Reaves in Utah.

Lol..amazing how easy he got scored on. He actually gave some effort most of the time , it was just odd how everybody scored on him.

I agree. I said it before but I still believe Austin can and will improve with strength and endurance training. He’s still a work in progress.

Considering his contract I only trade Austin if it gets us a true two way star (not you Trae) that isn’t on the decline.

We should keep AR because of his contract alone. His consistent production in the regular season comes at a discount. That being said, it’s two playoffs in a row he struggled against Denver. I don’t know if it’s the matchups w them or what, but when he’s not producing offensively, we can’t afford his defensive lapses.

This summer if we go get a true 5 and 3&D starters we can continue to start AR with Bron and AD. Otherwise maybe the best scenario is one in which AR is our 6th man playing 30 min a game. At least it’ll allow us to rest Bron and AD without worry.

We’d need some starters so I think we’d still move Hachi. His contract isn’t bad and we may be able to get a decent 3&D player, or someone by packaging him. This been great for us but doesn’t reliably fill our needs, as much as he’s improved. Anyways, I’ve always firmly believed we can ONLY afford to keep 1 of the three on our team: Reaves, Rui, DLo.

We'll say Mitchell is gone from Cleveland, he lands in another destination, shall we inquire about Darius Garland?

Klutch, making $40 million a year, he's 24. Would he work?

Was also going over Vash's salary cap in another thread; he likes Murray and some additional impact FA's capped at around $29 million because we can still make other moves.

Wondering if we go that route instead of going all in on one player. Impact piece, and a trade or two.

    just thinking...

Sure, we can ask for Garland, but they would want AD in return.
