Mikal Bridges is a name I'll keep bringing up, he's kind of a better version of what Darvin thinks Taurean is. He'd probably cost at least two picks, though. I like Randle and would love to lean into an identity of bullying the hell out of teams with him, LeBron and AD, but his shooting has been pretty bad since he randomly shot 41% from three in 2021. Murray's name will come up again, I'm skeptical of all the chatter that Trae is the only they'll actually trade. He's really popular in ATL and I don't think they have the stomach to do another full rebuild this soon (I like Murray, but he's not a guy to build from scratch around).

At least he is tall. That could help guard Porter, if we are going to focus on ways to beat the Nuggets.

Markennen would be a superb fit here IMO. But I also agree that Ainge will try to take everything from us to get him. I guess we’ll see but I like what folks are thinking of - moving maybe Rui and getting an upgrade. In the past I’ve not been as enamored about moving him for someone like Grant but after this playoff no show I feel differently about it. It really bothered me.

UTAH has the #32 pick, which makes sense for taking Bronny.

Ainge might want Reaves. I mean, Lauri is bigger, a better rebounder, a slightly better defender, far superior volume and percentage three-point shooter. Does Reaves + #17 for Markenaan and #32 make sense? Maybe. But Rui + #17 + 2029 1st might be better. Reaves could stay, or still be flipped with Vincent and/or Vanderbilt * 2030 1st + pick swaps later.

I like it a lot. One of the best catch and shoot players in the NBA. It's a nice bonus that he has size and can get some boards. UTAH needs and alpha type that could control the ball. Reaves fits the bill there. His value is almost on par with Laurie, because he has an awesome contract, while Laurie might be looking at a max deal after the season.

I expect moves but I don’t expect a big name honestly. But it’s fun to speculate

Biggest thing right now is what we will do with our coaching situation. Next is what happens with DLO.

But overall, if we Nail the coaching search, add a backup big, and hopefully a defensive guy then we are still a competitive team.

Great points. Question: Is the Dlo situation determined before or after the draft? If it's after, then I would rank the draft after the coaching situation.

You know, I am honestly not sure on that. I don't see a date anywhere for when he would have to exercise the option but I'm sure someone knows.

I think it might be June 29th but idk. If that is the case, then we would have to look at draft day, where things could begin happening.

Lol. I like Austin too, but no,he's not really on par with Laurie. I think Austin is great for us, future 1st or 2nd option? No

I hope we can get a solid big defensive guard, Vanderbilt can't effectively guard every high end scorer on the perimeter. Preferably one that can score a little. Dinwiddie is about shot folks.

And a legit shotblocking, rebounding big, that isn't old, and on his last legs. Preferably one that can hit an outside shot.

That's not impossible, especially considering how great, the players we already have are. At least that's the gist of what I'm getting, on the Ham thread. Our players are really fine, they just need better coaches.

They should be in high demand across the league then. I'd be curious to see an article on that take.

Trez opted in right before the draft, I expect the same from D'Angelo.

Bridges, Grant, Turner, Markennen, Capela..give me any one of those guys. Those are good upgrades.

Lol..Bronny might be the perimeter stopper we need! Lebron said that he was already better, (defensive I suppose, ) than some of the guys that we have.

That had to sting, if I'm a guard in that locker room.

In my mind the perfect guy for this team would be Middleton but he still has two years left on his contract.I don’t see a realistic way to get him but I would inquire for sure.Stranger things have happened

bridges, turner, and markkanen aren't really on sale from all reports. like, they could get traded, but not for what we've got.

i think grant is gettable. capela is gettable, but i'm not sure it's worth moving any of our guys for him. he's undersized at center and has been on the decline (has actually been a negative on defense for three years now). grant's also been declining defensively, but i'm willing to imagine he can recover in the right situation. i'm less sure about capela.

i think bronny's best case upside seems to be gpII or maybe danthony melton. if he could be that good next year, he'd be worth a high second rounder for sure. most scouts are skeptical there, though.

Not sure the Lakers have enough to get Bridges unless you lose Reaves and then you aren't good enough again.

Bridges is an ideal fit and the a solid 3 man core with AR and AD as Lebron goes out

That's the thing..every year, guys come out of the blue, and want out for some reason, or another. Most of these trades never involve like value either. It's the NBA. A lot of guys keep it low key, some go public if they don't get what they want.

If we really don't have anything, anybody else would want, then WTH are we complaining about? We deserve to suck, our players suck. I'm going with not an ideal fit, others can do better here, but some of our guys could do well elsewhere.

Ones man's trash, can be another one's treasure.
