in this last play of the Knicks game, there were like 4 different fouls on Maxey. I couldn't care less about either franchise, but the NBA refereeing continues to be dog poop

On one hand, it would be logical to not trade AD, but on the other hand if we keep the core players in tact and continue to look to look for good supporting players, and we never find them, then maybe we should blow it up? With that being said, Chet is a huge drop off from AD, but at the same time, his shot blocking numbers are similar, he shoots better, and he is 9 years younger. He has upside. Okc ready to win now. So maybe it makes sense?

If we decide to blow it up, it's possible. That puts OKC over the top and we get young players to join the core in a rebuild attempt.

We're not rebuilding with a 31 year old Davis who just signed a deal last summer.

    We're also not going through a 7-10 year of the Randle's Ingram's, Ball's, again.

May not be the right path, and we could definitely make the wrong move with the wrong player going all in that us in the 5-8 range.

Just don't see us going through that again.

In fact, I don't want to go through another rebuild again.

My mind could change depending on how the Denver series plays out but my feeling right now is I want to keep Dlo and sign him to a new contract. I would definitely do a trade for Mitchell if at all possible with AR, Rui and picks but I think that’s probably pipe. I might consider some kind of trade for Dejaunte Murray as well. I think I’ve seen enough now that Dlo is just a great fit here despite my hesitation earlier this season. He showed me a lot last night.

Nothing is settled, we can win two games at home. Long-term, it depends on which D'Angelo shows up the rest of the way. He played well last night, it was overdue. Will he continue to step up his game, or revert back to the mean? We'll just have to see.

It looked like the Suns had Minnesota figured out. The playoffs hit differently though.

I’m looking at AD as our bridge player between now and the next Chip Team. I would keep him and DLo moving forward until we can land our next 1A guy.
We are probably going to have to hope that next guy gets disgruntled with his current team and demands a trade here.

the list of guys i'd move reaves for is a very short one. you don't get his value at his contract very easily.

Between acquiring the new 1A guy, building the right supporting cast and probably losing once in the postseason before seriously contending we're looking at what, three years at the earliest? I'm highly skeptical of 34 or 35 year old AD being a 1B on a championship team.

If LeBron retires or moves on this offseason or next, I think we should move AD too. The best guys aren't making it to free agency anymore, they're re-signing and then asking other teams to trade a haul for them. I think we have a real shot at bringing in Luka or Tatum or Ant, but we'll need ammo to do so. Plus I don't see those guys jumping at the opportunity to play with a mid-30s AD and DLo. Once we decided we're not going for it with LeBron and AD anymore, I'm keeping Reaves/Rui/Vando/Christie around and don't really care about anyone else.
