Playoffs - Round 1: Lakers Vs. Denver. Let's Freaking Go!!

I was just watching the 2010 NBA Champs video, but I forgot about that epic Christmas game where Kobe & CO cleaned "those guys'" clock. I'll have to see if I can track it down and watch again for old time's sake!

 

What the media conveniently leaves out from last year's playoffs is 1) Lebron had a bad foot with no lift, and 2) our team was assembled at the trade deadline.

This year Lebron is healthy and the supporting cast have a much better understanding of what their roles are. We are slightly worse on defense but significantly better on offense. Rui, Austin, DLO have all improved. We don't have Vando but we have Dinwiddie and Gabe to guard Murray.

Also, no one seems to mention that they lost Bruce Brown, who was a key piece in slowing down DLO.

 

Garnett was also still healthy when we took it to them in Boston later that season.

EDIT: And we did it without Bynum.

We'll know our chances after 2 games. We have to win one in Denver or we're toast.

Russell is the key here. He was useless last year when we were in every single game of that sweep. If he plays like he did during the regular season anything is possible.

I'm staying with Lakers in six. LeBron is healthier than last year and we are better than they are. X factor is Ham. Limiting the crazy line ups will make this easier. Plus we have Austin Nash.

Revisiting this .... all the more reason to not be doubling Jokic and leaving Murray and other shooters f****** open. He's not your most elite create his own shot scorer.

 

Game plan denver is a young team and they always talk about the altitude in denver so conditioning transition defense try to slow down murray and dont let any of denvers role players go for 20 or more if their defense is solid along with the other things like not turning the ball over limiting 2nd chance points/rebounding then they may have a chance at an upset if they can consistently keep this up through the series.If not they are gonna get swept again or denver will win in 5 or 6 games..
