On Jan. 26 — in a game against the Clippers — bettors profited heavily on Porter's unders, with some wagers in the five-figures.

Porter's over/unders that day at DraftKings were 5.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.5 3-pointers, giving bettors the option to wager on him to attain more or less of each of those figures.

DraftKings reported that the under on Porter's 3-pointers was the most profitable wager that day. Porter attempted zero 3-pointers and finished the game with zero points, three rebounds and one assist.

But there's nothing wrong with that, it states there weren't any NBA bets. Players can bet on other sports all day long. Bron hosted a weekly Sunday pick'em IG Live Stream and several of the players endorse or are now faces of the commercial campaign for these betting companies. That's why this is so murky and why the league really had to ban him to set the example.

what is interesting above about the bets... no NBA bets that were accepted (interesting use of words, "accepted" instead of "made"/ "placed" ...), if he ignorantly tried to make them and they were denied, he should've known better.

All that proves is based on earnings vs wager amount is he's a degenerate gambler and raises a red flag to further investigate.

And that's where we enter the no fly zone.

I was listening to a pod when all this first broke and they were breaking down just how much action had to be placed on him for his prop bets to be the most profitable wager of the day because of the kind of money you see thrown around in the marquee names (Bron, Curry, etc). They said that roughly 50 people had to make the max allowed prop bet for that particular variable across all sports betting platforms on the parlay (because there usually is a cap of on those prop bets in the 1k range per variable stat). So his"friend" network on this plan had to be extensive. With the legalization of sports gambling, all these platforms communicate and are "friends. " so when there's that kind of odd action, everyone knows. Had this happened before it was legal, he would've gotten away with it.

betting on your own team to lose is as bad as it gets

and to make it worse, he's such an idiot that he bet on them to lose as part of a parlay. he risked everything only for another team to not cover the spread

He made 2.8 million already in career earnings? just nuts if he just was able to keep his head down and get just one decent deal he would have been set for life

The gal that had the 3 point shootout with Curry at the All Star weekend and her ought to be interesting to watch who turns out to be the better shooter in season and against each other in their 3pt contest.

    f*** Boston.

It doesn't get any easier for them. Butler and Antetokounmpo.

It's now Knicks and Knicks alone as the only team to even make them break a sweat on their way to the finals.

Unreal man. I hope Miami still pulls it out because you know they're still coached by SPO and they'll find a way to make up for him being out like they always do. Maybe Herro goes crazy? Jaime? Is Rozier also out? Jesus man the HEAT just been butchered this year

Also - anybody that says they still want Trae Young watching tonight's Bulls/Hawks game is INSANE>

He was -28 on the floor and was thoroughly outplayed by Coby White who dropped 42-9-6-2 on 15/21 shooting. Yeah i'm WAYYYYY good on Trae Young trades this summer unless it's literally DLO and our 2024 1st pick for Trae straight up.

Really good point. If you're PG and join Maxey and Embiid you only have to worry about Boston and maybe the Bucks whenever Doc gets fired. As opposed to staying in LA and having to worry about us, Denver, Minny, OKC, DAL, PHX. Kings and NO are at the door, GS has one in the chamber until Curry retires, Houston and SA are going to keep getting tougher.

Think its' over for this version of Miami: Jimmy's getting older and even before the injury he couldn't will them out of the playin.

Riley is a master at this so is he going to find a way to pivot to Mitchell this offseason?

We have dibs on Mitchell, he can have Trae Young. ;) To carry on that old school tough as nails Miami tradition with his 165 skinny *** pounds.
