That makes more sense because I couldn't figure out how a few 2nd rounders and cash would be within 25% of Hibbert's contract. It could also allow us to sign Williams even if the cap is set to 67mil.

It's at least 41. Higher than that is harder to say. I think 42 is the largest improvement in wins in consecutive seasons. We won't threaten that. I do think it wouldn't be crazy for us to make the playoffs.

Great pick-up! I didn't even know Williams and Bass were available a few hours ago, and now we got both of them!

    Russell / Williams
    Clarkson / Brown
    Bryant / Young / Brown
    Randle / Bass / Nance
    Hibbert / Black / Upshaw

Potentially replace Swaggy with Caron Butler if we need to send him out in the Hibbert trade. I really like this squad.

Icing on the cake would be to trade lin to the mavs for Justin Anderson and a first rounder! Then sign upshaw with team options!

So far our supposed "bad" off season is:

    upshaw (potentially)
    roy
    lou will
    bass
and next is lin for a sf (crossing fingers)

Damnit I don't want to lose Swaggy. We need SF's in a big way if he's gone.

We don't need him but Spurs renounced the rights to Cory Joseph making him an UFA.

I feel like the fo is trying to get rid of immature players and bringing in smart mature players.

If we dump Young we will have 5.2 million in cap space, granted Bass takes the room exception.

Not many targets left in the SF field for FA. I wonder what the FO has cookin' here?

I don't see losing Swaggy as a negative. Fun to watch but has never really gotten IT at this level. Too busy having fun and that's not the best attitude to have around a bunch of young guys.

I think this means that Kobe will be the SF going forward this year unless there is more to come.

Lakers.com made an official press release saying that we've entered into contract negotiations with Williams and Bass and intend to sign them at the end of the moratorium ... Is that even legal for us to announce during the moratorium?

Brandon Bass and Julius Randle are the same type of player. Doesn't really make sense. Mitch has something BIG cooking.

Don't think so. Julius is a SF-PF whereas Brandon is a PF-C. The dude is HUGE.

Dang, Bass is good pick up. He has good mid range game. Would love to get Corey Joseph. He would be great pick up.
