yeah, that's always been nuts to me. can you imagine if lebron or kobe missed a season and their team--just minus that guy--won 55 games and lost in seven in the second round to the best knicks team since they won a ring in the 70s?

yeah, that was a really bad quarter from him. i don't know if he was gassed or what, but just some headscratching choices and poor execution. he was barking at teammates a couple times, but i think most of it was on him, tbh.

 

Didn't look to have his legs. He didn't jump out in this one like he did in the first matchup, wasn't worried at that point I thought he was picking his spots like he's done so often, but maybe not. Maybe he was just spent. If we're at that point before the playoffs begin... not good. He needs to get that secret stuff for the Denver series.

He was spent; he's damn near 40. I mean, I know we pay him like a max player and we expect him to play like one, but I'll give him a pass.

 

I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt that having to play bully ball against Zion on both ends of the floor wore him out. Hopefully it’s not a general fatigue thing that will last through the playoffs

 

Ham should've stepped in to call a TO earlier in the 4th when the Pelicans were making a run to call a play that didn't use LBJ. Instead he calls a TO and still lets LBJ get the ball to take a fadeaway.

Concerning I'm that that he had some rest but OTOH as someone who is old it happens where you just don't have to some games randomly.

Really hated why the Lakers didn't repost him instead it looks like the Pelicans baited the Lakers into attacking Alvarado which is a clear mismatch but the post up started near the freaking 3 point line. So everything was so slow and the Pelicans thru the late trap and the Lakers had no time to do anyty

 

That being said Lakers looked like trash when he sat.

That charge he took from Zion was brutal. He stepped in there and got it done though.

 

Gordon is a tough matchup for Lebron cause he's also big and athletic. He's gotta be quicker in executing pick and rolls to find the mismatch without draining the shot clock.
