That’s very possible. I didn’t see us getting out of the 9 spot, but I’ll happily be wrong.

OKC may lose the game against SAC to make sure to avoid the 1st two seeds though so it could drop us to 8th in case we finish with 34 losses

The best thing would be to win out for us ..

with the suns and mavs both playing their best ball to end the season, tanking for third in the west if you're min/okc/den is no longer the winning proposition it was when it looked like sac or NO was going to be in the 6 spot. i think that development means those three teams should be trying to win every game.

Suns have been playing well. NO & SAC are in a free fall.
Our last game of the year is against the Pels..
If we win, we own the tiebreaker.

Alright, this looks better. Now we really control our destiny, so to speak. Most of our opponents have to play each other, so in many ways it's going to be a win-win situation for us. It is very important to beat the Warrios and the Pelicans to send the message. The Minny game we can lose, it's a back-to-back and they are #1 in the West, so... we can live with that. Memphis game is a trap, but we should really win it with relative ease.

Yeah, we're playing very good basketball lately. If we make the playoffs, we can beat almost anyone. Unfortunately, we have some obvious bad matchups too, so it's better not to have high hopes this season. Still, I feel we can be competitive.

Detroit is up 71-55 in Brooklyn right now. Who cares? Well, SAC goes into Brooklyn tomorrow, so it doesn't look good. Nets are out of it and are playing out their string. And they're gonna be on a BTB. So that sux. If I live in Brooklyn and have Nets tix for the SAC game I'm sellin'...is all I'm saying.

Zion is listed as questionable for tomorrow in PHO. Is it too much to ask Herb Jones to just lay out Grayson Allen on a vicious moving screen? Asking for a fiend.

Is there any hope the Jazz can go into GSW tomorrow and win? No? Yea, I thought not.

We kinda have to win vs. MIN on a BTB for us. Gonna be a rough one for us. Tall order, frankly.

All those other games will be finished by tip-off, except the GSW game, and we will watch the scoreboard, hoping against hope. If you told me you can't do anything about any game we have left, but if I picked ONE game for us to win and we would - a childish magic wand scenario, admittedly - I'm picking beating GSW in LA. (But if winning in NO means finishing 7th, I pick that one instead, for obvious reasons. If it means finishing 6th? It takes on epic proportion. I don't think it will come down to that, though: Too many things have to go just our way over this next week.)

Our skedjool: MIN, GSW, then finish on the road against MEM (better not take them lightly!), then Big Easy for game 82. It's possible that that last game in NO could have massive implications as to how many games we have to play: 83 or 84, not counting the uncounted IST win over IND.

I envy those Laker fanatics who have it in them to look at all this and sing "Que sera sera/Whatever will be will be/The future's not ours to see..." I can't. Sing, that is. I make Tom Waits sound like Maria Callas, fer crissakes.

Minnesota doesn't have KAT..it's not like they are invincible or something. Gotta man up and get it done. We are already in the playoffs right now, as far as I'm concerned.

I don't see the point of fearing Golden State or New Orleans either. We have a better team than they do.

Single elimination anything can happen, best to avoid it if it’s not necessary

If they win out, I will become a believer again.
Let’s see if all the talk about “seeding doesn’t matter to us” is how they really feel.

I’m expecting 1 loss somewhere in these last 4.

It’s so hard to win 8 games in a row in the NBA unless you’re team is just flat out so talented you can coast some games to a win.

    Yuck!

Of course the Cavs ran out of gas

    Mavs - Rockets

At least we're not the only team he showed up against this year.
    ... and Rockets lost.

    Yep!

Is it me or does Brick flex like Mr. Universe even when he hits a simple layup now? Primal screaming like it's Game 7 when he dishes to PG13 for a 15 foot bank that goes in? Yelling at the crowd and signaling for them to stand up, after the opposing team misses a shot and the Clips get the rebound? etc. Not the look of a HoFer. Not to me, at least. Far too P-Bev-ish. It's a tired act. We see you, Brick. We know the score. Calm the eff down.
