I think we're using the MLE on Williams.

We may be using the rest of the cap (4.7 or more) on a SF.

If the cap goes to 69 million, we're signing Williams outright. If it stays at the long projected 67 million, we're sending Young out probably to Indy.

I'd love to sign and trade Lin to Dallas and try to get a pick out of them. Do they have any non-guaranteed contracts?

I think that Room exception will be used for a sfs.

    Just saw this posted on reddit;

Two years ago, LA's backcourt consisted of Goudelock, Morris, and Duhon. Now LA has Russell, Clarkson, Lou Williams, and (hopefully) a healthy Kobe.

we don't have the $4.9 million left anymore after the Lou signing. All that is left is:

Some veteran backup center (to avoid sacre)
Some solid SF (to keep Wes as far away from the team as you can)

And I'm ok with this offseason

I'm thinking Kobe is likely the starting SF now. Young will back him up unless we need to trade him. Then I think we go get Caron Butler with our Room Exception.

    Russell / Williams
    Clarkson / Brown
    Kobe / Young
    Randle / Kelly
    Hibbert / Black

Now it's the Lakers turn to do some cap space voodoo. Per emplay, the salary to Lou Williams is assuming cap goes up to $69 mill otherwise they have to clear $2 mill.

I'm glad he's still available and we picked him up. This is the sixth man of the year!

@KB24 made the point. If we get even a second rounder, Lin would've been a nice acquisition. Brought us Nance, gave us a decent year, and got us a 2nd rounder in leaving.

Lou / Young / Butler off the bench would be pretty sweet.

Caron, Dorell Wright, Alan Anderson and KJ (If Rockets use their MLE on Josh Smith) are basically the last 4 options for me. Otherwise let AB get some burn and see if he's the sleeper everyone thinks he is.

Not a bad signing with Lou, but im not sure if it was necessary to go after another scoring combo guard. I think we were set with wing scoring. Could there be a trade involving Swaggy? Sign and trade Lin to Mavs for 1st rd pick and Trade Nick for 2nd round picks?

I'm still ok with giving Swaggy another shot at redeeming himself from last season.
