Anytime you can beat PatBev, Giannis, Dame and Doc, it’s a good night. Props to Hayes for competing his a** off.
Bueno: DLo Exploding and keeping it going after AD got hurt- 9 threes!!! AD still playing after injuring shoulder Dinwiddie with the huge block Prince only being forced to guarding the wrong spot for a few possessions Malo: Having to see Doc AD getting injured
Right: Dlo on fire from three and everywhere else. AD toughing it out with one arm. Dinwiddie with a great block to seal the deal. Also loved that Reaves steal on the inbounds play at the end of the third. Also, here's a big one . . . Ham with some good substitutions down the stretch switching defense for offense and vice versa. Credit where it's due. Wrong: AD's shoulder. Hope it's just a bad stinger. We need him.
I forgot this one: Laughing at PatBev just running around out there getting exercise. I still can’t believe he was allowed to don a Lakers jersey.
Lakers win 123-122 in LA w/o Lebron. We might finish in 10th and bow out early in a weird season that 432J calls a "bipolar" Laker team. That's the word. But if we're bipolar this was an "up" game. And we're ahead by 6 in the 4th, fall down by 6 with 1:54 left and I thought we were cooked. Another late game falloff like the DEN game. AD was literally playing as the One Armed Man. Before that, he was A+ AD, executing everywhere; afterward: I was wondering if he's just out there as a decoy. Hope his upper pec or shoulder isn't serious. Right: D-Lo, for one. Funky, laid-back jazzy rhythm game. And 44/6/9 on 9 for 12 from deep in a game that will make some doubters into true believers. Welcome to the Lakers, Dinwiddie! Epic block on Dame to seal the win! Good all-around team effort w/o Lebron and against the #3 team in the East. Also what went Right: P-Bev: 16 mins: 0/0/0 on 0 for 3. He too small. Too small. Wrong: ESPN's announcers: the commentator is, I think, a Bucks regular, am I not right? She blew her cover a few times. The PBP guy, in an epic game by D'Angelo Russell, called him "Leon Russell" as late as the 2nd half. And so I dedicate "A Song For You" to him.
He used to have his own good sized studio here in Burbank back in the day. I bought a nice used Honda station wagon for us from his gal manager back then. Didn't look anything like D'angelo .... dumb BSPN announcer.
Lakers go up 13 in the 3rd, fall down 4 (or so), then regain the lead and pull away so the final 3 mins were garbage. HUGE WIN! What went Right: AD Anthony Davis Unibrow Davis AD Birthday Boy Anthony "Brow" Davis (tomorrow): 27/25/5, with 10 Offensive boards, 7 steals, all kinds of D that doesn't show up in the box score. Looked like one of the greatest defensive players in the NBA since 1947. Just ridiculous. Our starters scored 103 of our 120 points. This starting 5 is killuh. What went Wrong: Had to watch AntMan. What's wrong with that? Nothin'. I just wish we had him. He reminds me a lot of MJ. He's worth the price of admission.
What went right: AD LeBron DLO picking his spots instead of forcing it Reaves Rui Prince - yes he actually played well for once on both ends What went wrong: Ham having us play zone D to start the 2nd quarter and immediately getting burned by Naz Reid Letting a 13-point lead become a deficit going into the 4th (shades of Sacramento erasing our 19-point lead) Letting Naz Reid get hot from 3 Austin reaves continuing to sag off for no god damn reason and letting scrubs hit 3s on us Way too many 3's from the Wolves in that 1st half Giving a team that was down 2 starters and 1 key role player too much confidence for the first 3.5 quarters All in all - HUGE win from us to beat a team that's still preetty good even without those 3 guys.
we match up badly against the Kings, they are similarly built to Denver as in they have a skilled center, a point guard that always torches us, and a bunch of very athletic guys that can defend and shoot
The Good - Austin and Rui were elite in the first half. The Bad - everyone and everything else. We went away from our two first half weapons trying to force the issue in the 3rd with our big 3. Didn't work. Bron had a couple solid single handed runs but we couldn't get a stop and wouldn't defend the 3, so it didn't matter. - AD needs to DNP - property of Sabonis until he's ready to take this matchup seriously - Ham: nice strategy against the 3. The 'Ole f*** it strategy. Good job.
Worst loss of the season to me. We absolutely had to win this one, had rest and practice, and missed way too many easy shots. This game probably put 6th place out of reach for us IMO. im so sick of Darvin’s nonsensical rotations and no play calling.
AD got out played, Lebron had an off night, and mighty mouth, never showed up. That about sums it up.
Lebron slept walked till the 4th. Honestly his computer in his head didn't seem to know what to expect from that Ennis kid. Ham was bad. The rotations were messed up. I would have tried Lebron on Sabonis so that would free up AD since AD is f***ed in the head against Sabonis That was worst 4th quarter I think I've ever seen AD play DLo no showed on offense and dwas bad on defense Reaves was good
The 3rd Q Lakers looked like they were the ones who played the previous night. SAC goes up 16, Lebron hits a shot to cut to 9 and I'm thinking they have to cut it 3 or 4 here, but a couple mins later they were back down by 16 and there's frikkin' Harrison Barnes with his 7th 3. AD and D-Lo, you ask? No comment. Basically: what Pioneer10 says about this game.
we get outsmallballed every time against sac. the solution is to go bigger, but we don't have the personnel anymore.
Barnes LOVES to play the Lakers. Dude seems to always look like a perennial All Star against us. He’s good, but not that good.
We don’t have anyone to stay with either Fox or Monk. Well, we have one guy, but he’s been injured all season.
yeah, if he could knock down open threes at that clip, he'd have made even more money over his career.
I've always liked Kerr Good -Bron. Did his part -DLO and Rui were fine offensively. With AD out you need an extra gear to win, that wasn't there but they were fine. Also a 13/0 assist to TO ratio for DLO tonight. Props. Bad - game was over as soon as AD was ruled out. - Austin. What was that? One of the most reckless offensive games I've seen from him. Shots were bad, he was hurried up, out of sorts. Very uncharacteristic. - the final two minutes that took 20 minutes to finish and sucked all energy out of the building.
