I thought for sure he was done: still could be I know but looks like a real chance for him to return which would be huge. That Celitcs game where he got hurt he was legit Pippen like
i don't want to risk his long-term health for that reason. if he's himself, he's the difference between 10th and 5th right now, imo.
Buha on his YouTube Q&A: has heard last week that Vando's trending ahead of schedule but no new update on a timeline. (Vando has been posting a lot of IG content getting people's hopes up)
I get the feeling he'll be back. I just hope he doesn't rush it. Sounds like he's made good progress. We will need him if we get past the playin and into the playoffs.
The season ends about 5 weeks from now. If he's running and jumping without pain, or with only slight discomfort, he's playing. I would assume, that he needs a ramp up time on the court, in order to get back into the flow prior to that, but I expect that he'll play, even if he only got cleared a few days, before the playin game.
I went to the Nuggets game on Saturday with a friend that's a long-time season ticket holder. We got to wait in the tunnel for the players to run out and go take pictures with the Laker girls. When we took the elevator down and walked to the tunnel we saw Vando working out in a small weight room near the locker room. He was still limping, not majorly but noticeably.
Doesn’t seem possible with a hinky injury like that he could come back and stay healthy and get back to his “bad” self …. but it would make a hell of a story and an impact to the plus for us.
I know that many have complained about the possibility of our training staff being low rate. I really have no idea. What I do know is that we have had one player who completely passed his physical and then missed an entire season(Nunn) last season, and now two who have missed the majority of this season. It could be “bad luck” with injuries, the worst medical staff assigned to a professional team, or a combination of both. I’m just posting to get everyone’s opinion. I mean, how can we really know unless we have the bios of the entire medical staff?
We don't know and IMO the staff just gets dumped on without knowing. You know what happened with Nunn .... happened in a game with some bone on bone contact .... nothing to do with the physical or Miami screwing us (twice in a row) (they wanted Vincent back but lowballed him).
