Looking forward to the off-season. Lakers could manage to put together a good squad.

    Example:

    1. Draft day: Trade Reaves, Vanderbilt, Hachimura, JHS, 2024 1st, 2029 1st, 2031 1st ro Cavs for Mitchell, Lavert, Nieng, Scrub, and Scrub.

    2. Sign Russell 4 years / 100 m

    3. Sign Reddish and Prince to bargain deals

    4. Be ready to let Max Christie walk, because payroll looks hefty, but try to retain him of you can.

Starting 5 of Russell, Mitchell, Reddish, James, Davis

Ham could play his guys now out of necessity, everybody's happy.

SMH. You guys like to panic rather easily. No way I'm trading Austin, and keeping Chokeolo..NO

Everyone seems excited about getting Vanderbilt back, but he will be coming back off of injury. It took him half the year to start looking like himself, so why do we think he’s going to hit the ground running upon his return? I would think he will need a couple of months to return to form.

this season's cooked, imo. let's make sure gabe and vando are both healthy enough to start next year. worst possible thing would be vando getting injured in our valiant push for 9th place.

Yeah, I don't see it with this group. No point forcing these guys back before they are ready to go.

and maybe Ham gets fired as well - tank not for lottery pick but to force a new coach on the team!

His collapse will be a 30 for 30 some day.

3 straight All-Star games, 1st team all defense, 2nd in DPOY voting, and I'm pretty sure he led the league in assists that led to 3's one year. Then... POOF. Brain melted down.

We're headed for the play in as a 9-10 seed most likely. 18 games left, and everyone in the top 10 is playing .500 or better.
At this point, it's unrealistic to hope teams fall apart to help you move up. We're 3 games out of being tied for the 6 seed. Doesn't sound like much, but when it takes you 10 games to make up one game in the standings, you need small miracles.

Enjoy the play in tournament, and if lucky, a decent playoff run. But this team doesn't seem to have what it takes to be a serious contender. Period.

And if for some reason they pulled themselves together and made a championship run, it would be both a great story and one of the worst things that ever happened in the sport. How much more "cruising" during the regular season would we see by teams that feel like they only need to catch fire at the end of the year? Terrible precedent, but catastrophic for a team that already struggles with taking the regular season seriously. Every game is the All Star game level of effort to them.

Silver: Maybe if we paid them extra for every game they play, they would play harder.....

Fans: You ALREADY pay them millions!!!

Me: I don't like where I see any of this heading. /end rant.

panic started the day the Westbrook trade happened. Now it’s titanic sinking. Soon, it will be a bunch of death laying in the water.

lakers are run by complete asshats. Without stars in this team that can actually make a difference, it’s a lost cause.

Meh..We lost one game. and now the world is crashing down around our feet. I'm always optimistic, but I didn't expect to go undefeated during this home stand. Go out and win the next game, the season isn't over until it's over.

get ready for a 10th seed finish and a loss in the first game to miss the playoffs. You need to start getting ready for that. Regular season is a jerk off at this point.

I don't know Ox..It's possible that you could be right, and it's also very possible, that we still end up, making a run in the playoffs. I'd still rather face OKC or Minnesota in the 1st rd, than any other matchup. So getting that 8th spot, ain't all that dire of a position to be in IMO

We were in the playin last season too.

the problem is that we're likely going to have to beat two of dallas/gs/phx just to get the 8th spot. i agree that i think we have a puncher's chance in the 1/8 against minny or okc, but getting there will be incredibly difficult. you're talking about steph, kd, luka. these are guys who if they get hot, it's curtains. you have to count on it not happening for two do-or-die games. can happen. just unlikely.

Yeah, if we are 9/10, having to win 2 out of 2 against those guys he's really tough.but I think we can still make the 7/8, which means we only need to win 1 out of 2. I like those odds with our team.

There's also a lot of injuries going on, who knows who can get that injury bug from the teams ahead of us (or ourselves)
Can we bet that? If it happens I leave. If it doesn't, you leave.
