Collapses the lane when he drives. Can make the flips or floaters if they don't. Finds and kicks it out to open shooters or Davis nearby if they do. Simple heady ball play. Did not come from Miami so he is not injured the rest of the season...
https://x.com/LakersLegacyPod/status/1758148817256624529?s=20 IMHO, not being the artist presently known as @sirronstuff ..... something done with this (shortening or whatever might tickle his "fancy" (don't need to know details ) ..... this might be the basis of a possible first Dinwiddie or Didwiddie and Hachimura "Happy" gif?
i won't need a much bigger sample to lobby to use whatever exception we have this summer to keep this guy and to ship gabe out for a backup big ASAP.
He's going to pay big dividents even thought the lakers lost last night (get lebron and cam back and this team is going to be very good)
dinwiddie is definitely one of the best players i've ever seen waived midseason. i really hope we build a bridge to keeping him on next year.
I guess his fit next to Trae would be okay. I have a feeling Trae will be a Laker this summer. Seems like the only “star” that we legitimately have a path to.
His defense was alright, but man... he looked totally rusty on the other end of the floor. Let's see if he can do better tomorrow.
I'm not that worried. I agree, I thought he looked rusty as well and said so in the Game Debrief thread. He's a baller, he'll get it going again. I still love his fit. Given how cold he was last night I was irritated that Ham was using him in a three guard lineup. Made no sense.
I think he needs his ball in his hands a bit more to get comfortable before we bury him in the corner. He's not forcing it and is looking for his spots and fit. It'll come, not worried, but I do think getting the feel of the ball earlier would help him out.
The fact that the team thrived while he was in the lineup and produced no stats is very interesting. I didn’t get to watch, but it was cool to see that, and I’m not so sure that’s a negative. He was a cog in the wheel and we kept turning.
He's not a catch and shoot guy it looks like. He needs to be on-ball or setting screens for the short roll more to be effective on O.
