Could've gotten 10. A few of those there was some space and timing confusion that'll come with time and chemistry. 7 dimes in your first game is nothing to sneeze at. Having a backup guard deserving of 30 minutes a game is such a big time addition.
he's a playoff-caliber rotation player. erases the gabe issue for the time being, which has loomed large over the season, imo.
Type of signing that makes rivals hate us. Perfect fit. Insane we ended up having a great deadline without making any trades lol.
Lakers have a weird guard rotation: 3 heat check guys All of them can shoot and playmaker but they're different in styles Dlo finesse 3 point shooter, Dinwiddie attack the rim type, and Reaves a combination guy. Having a hard time thinking of a team with 3 guys who are all streak shooters and playmaker. This is the play I remember from last night as well - able to beat man off dribble and a crazy one hand cross court pass. Dinwiddie is one of those guys whose faults really rise up if you need him to be "the man": i.e the ballstopping, poor defense, hero ball but if you keep those bad tendencies in check he's a tough guy to guard. Not good enough to the star of your team but a terror if he's your sixth man (a lot like Dennis last year).
If Gabe gets healthy, he may not see the floor except garbage time. Oh wait, we have Ham as a coach lol
i like what i see....his passsing is already looking good with only few practices....as for gabe, i wouldn't rely nor play him if/when he gets back, would actually look to trade him n re-sign Spence
Can I safely presume that since he's a buyout guy we don't have his birdies and can't bring him back next year for anything more than the mini-MLE (if that's even available)?
Yes you may safely do that. In the privacy of your own .... never mind. Not to worry though. Most likely he will choose the Lakers and stay ..... like everyone else .... rather than sign elsewhere for more money.
This guy is a GAMER man. He didn't do well offensively, but he controlled the game when he was in there. He got his teammates easy buckets. He is exactly what this team needed and I'm so hyped about Dinwiddie man. I just HOPE and PRAY that HAM doesn't set up Dinwiddie, DLO and Reaves for failure by playing them all TOGETHER. That's the only thing that will make this signing not so great
That's the thing with Bron, DLO, AR, and Dinwiddie there's no excuse to not have two of them on the court AT ALL TIMES. If he gets cute with the lineups with too much small ball there will be times were three of those four are sitting. That defeats the entire purpose of the acquisition.
Couple nice drives. Few good passes. Overall stability from the position. That's huge in that 3rd Q lineup setting us up for success going into the 4th. Digging the fit.
We do and Ham may even get around to opening it one of these days. Not that he could decipher it, but small steps.
