we didn't dump hayes, reddish, or wood to get under the tax--and i was almost expecting that. that was low-hanging fruit for ownership, and they didn't bite.

I called no trades pretty early on, and kind of glad to see it. Some interesting options in the buyout market potentially. Just seems this team doesn't quite have enough to be champions this year, but with health, some luck, and getting on a good run, anything is possible. But we need all of our horses healthy.

our anticipated starting lineup has played like 43 minutes together, total, and our biggest FA signing perished instantaneously. the fact that we're still theoretically in it is a positive. if we can weather the upcoming schedule and stay over .500 into the last few weeks, we could possibly finish with momentum again, and the teams in the play-in range should probably be concerned about seeing us, as should minnesota and okc, each for different reasons.

There are definitely some favorable matchups for us if we are healthy come playoff time. I can't predict us getting back to the western conference finals but I could see us pulling off a first round upset.

Austin and DLO sittin’ in a tree ……

…... raining hellfire on opponents with their massive combination of offensive talent firing themselves and the team …. now that the specter and stress of all the trade shopping and rumors are gone …. PLUS have Rui Hachimura finally finding his own rhythm and awesomeness with consistent minutes and a solid starting position …. climbing like a big African cat up the trunk to join their position. Sheeeooot!!!

We will beat every team in the West outside Denver .

We'll need Cam and Vando to be healthy to beat LAC though

Said it in another thread, but I really like this team. Just a bunch of guys who are easy to root for. When 100% healthy I think we matchup pretty good with any team in the West, including Denver.

Denver feels like a mental hurdle for us that we have got to get over.

This is very true. I feel fairly confident we can beat anyone in the West, except Denver. Basically, we can't beat the Nuggets until we show (and know) that we can.

I mean, we did beat (some of them multiple times) some great teams while struggling with injuries: PHX, OKC, BOS, Clips, NY etc. We have good wing depth and some capable defenders with size. But the injuries decimated the team and we struggled with backup 1 all season. If we could at least have Cam back and sign Spencer to come off the bench for Dlo, we should be in good shape. We'll see what happens with Vando; until then, we need to use Rui as much as possible so he enters his playoff form.

I love the Dinwiddie addition! I feel like we are ready to go now. Hopefully Cam returns soon too.

It’s a fair point to be made. There’s good reason to avoid some of these tax lines, and we have done things with money in mind that cost us, like with Caruso, but I would never call this franchise cheap, they spend

It’s nice that it hasn’t just been Bron, AD or bust, DLo aside from that slump he had, has been big for us

Chemistry and an offensive lineup that hums. If only anyone had asked Ham to consider this sooner.

With a strong showing in Utah today, we'd be 6/7 before the All-Star break. Cam will be back after that, boosting our perimeter defense; Spence seems to fit nicely with the team, he can definitely make plays for others and score some; Ham has figured out the starting 5. So, there's plenty of reasons for optimism right now, just need to play 66% ball from now on and it's all good, LOL. Hopefully, no more injuries, and just waiting for Vando.
