Yeah. What a ******* money grab. I wonder if Silver knew all along this was coming year 2 and was fearful of negative perception for the new tournament in year 1. Glad the banner we had to hang only has NBA naming.
You have a Jewish guy taking Muslim ruled money to slap badges on his employees for money. History sure has a sick sense of humor. So sad that Adam Silver has deteriorated as bad as he has since 2020. He was the best commissioner of the 4 major leagues I had seen this century. Sad how much of a sell out he has become.
pre-emptive WMC - Jokic going off on us AGAIN, and Murray going off on us AGAIN...and all their role players hitting every god damn 3. Just hope our guys have some pride and realize that we've been beaten like 6 straight times by this team. And these are the defending NBA champs - so we have to get up for this game. 3 days off, we should be fresh and ready to go Also - another pre-emptive WMC - Ham putting PRINCE on Jamal Murray tonight. Smh
Is jamal murray even playing? I wasn't aware he was back yet, but if so, they sure needed him ***edit*** wow, he has been back for awhile, and I had no idea
No one will have more pressure on them than DLO. Let's see he him say f*** it and hit a good per cent of his open looks tonight. Will be REALLY ugly in L.A. for him tomorrow and tonight here if he doesn't. Even if he does he's still going to hear, "It's not the playoffs" .... but it would be a great start.
Why does seem impossible to get Jokic involved in a switches. He never ever seen to get stuck having to guard AR or Lebron on the perimeter. I think he plays a drop but that should leave AR with a wide open 3. Denver defense somehow protects him very well
Things like coaching, accountability, team defense, having actual offensive sets and defensive schemes etc. tend to go a log way when it comes to team success.
Outside of the injury I honestly don't have a single WMC for this game. A few missed shots by us (free throws too) and some big shots by them in last 3 min is where LA lost and Den won the game. The way we have played this year there was zero chance we should of been in this game even with AD and Bron playing yet there we were up until the end. We got some guys in slumps, a lot of injuries and yet over the last few games we have, imo, played exponentially better and more like I thought we'd play this season. How we respond tonight will be very telling.
i'm looking hard at this one for signs of optimism. are we going to just drop the b2b like we tend to, or is this the time when we decide to make a statement? if we have a lackluster performance tonight, i edge very close to full check out. someone tweet an hourglass.
Really depressing that the Lakers may not have a healthy Cam and Vando together really for even a few games. That's all - two really big athletic guys who play tough defense, get steals and just cause havoc are basically what you want with the explosive offense you can get with AD/Lebron/Reaves/Dlo. If Dlo plays himself off the floor you throw Prince in there and you have very similar to what Denver - just a very big team that makes like difficult for you. I have real issues with this FO (caruso, WB trade, Nunn, Gabe, JHS) but there is a really good team here if they can just get healthy
don't see how nunn/gabe are fair. neither had serious injury trouble before we signed them. jhs has played less than two full nba games in terms of minutes. westbrook was lebron/AD; i can't be told otherwise. caruso was objectively terrible, though. that one on its own sort of shakes the foundations of confidence. i think we've done pretty well and had some bad luck with injuries, first to stars, now to literally everyone else.
