That's been the reoccurring theme with all of these players today. GH, Bojan, Olynyk, and Buddy.

They're not getting the tags they had on them last year or this deadline. Maybe they'll learn to start moving them while they can.

Good moves by Dallas and Knicks. We could have done the former for Rui, instead of Grimes. We don't have a Fournier (expiring) unfortunately

 

i like okc getting hayward. they can re-sign him at a much lower amount next year and have him mentor the young wings while providing some on-court utility. they gave up nothing.

i know det held on to guys too long, but i do like them getting grimes for burks, at least.

people are saying they don't get it for toronto, but i'm still confounded by utah's pick hoarding. bear in mind that agbaji was a recent mid first round pick. it's just recycling.

toronto has been looking for help at the big spots, and isn't olynyk a canadian? they get his bird rights.

yeah, that's a solid pickup for them. if gafford can be had for seconds, can tyus jones?

 

dallas had a bunch of irons in the fire, i think; curious to see how it all shakes out.

for us, i'm holding out some hope as long as jones and schroder haven't moved elsewhere.

I know we can't force a team to take our deal and I know the price tags for us are insane. BUT the optics of doing nothing but being cheap, that's not going to sit well.

I'm hoping we can just fold one of them in a roster improvement deal, that way we accomplish both at once.

at this point, i'd be surprised if they make any notable deals. just don't overpay for someone like brown or jones

 

At this point - let's please not do anything MAJOR. We shoudl be looking at a smaller deal for either another wing or a backup PG.

Schroder and Tyus Jones should be at the otp of our list..and then after that...maybe someone like DFS from Brooklyn?

Also, we shouldn't be giving up ANY first round picks in ANY deal after seeing what the market has fetched on players like Bogdanovic.

Should be two 2nd round picks and that is it!

 

Toronto gave a FRP for Olynk why?
I don't understand what some teams are doing here - making the playin is a big deal now or something?

 

They gave a first round pick for Olynyk and Ogbaji (who they were VERY high on) - so the Raptors stockpiling these young guards makes me think maybe they'll be open to dumping Schroder to us for Gabe and 2nd's?

Please God let us get Schroder back somehow!
