i think vando's absence early in the season (and the time it took to get him back to game speed) was underplayed as a factor in our disappointing year. he's really valuable.

 

Definitely. And the way he got hurt last night makes me feel like there may have been at least some validity to trying to ease him back in to the line up. This is where all the secrecy around injuries and how we determine minute restrictions really hurts the perception around the team. Is that why Ham is getting patience? Do the players even know some of this stuff? A lot of questions for me about all of that.

 

Thinking thru this the team is close to being really good. Probably win the Houston game if he didn't get kicked out. Cam and Vando and what they bring are as important as AD and LeBron for this team.

The huge variance in how the team directly correlates to when they're able to play and play well

 

Tough luck for H-Town hustle, he was just starting to hit his stride.

He wouldn't have lasted this long, playing Prince's minutes. I'm just hoping that he makes a full, speedy recovery.

 

i'm just saying ham was backed into a corner, and this got him out. if he had started vando going forward, and we looked great, there would have been QUESTIONS. and if he hadn't, and we continued looking meh (quite likely), there would have also been QUESTIONS.

now, he doesn't have to make the choice to move prince to the bench for vando and will be able to point to vando's injuries across the season as his reason for being dumb. even though we all know the injuries weren't really the reason.

 

I think the Prince stuff is overblown man.

 

Vando was one of the reasons I thought this team was far better than their record. Apart from "at least several weeks" I saw one note about a possible season-ending procedure.

Hate to sound like some sorta juju swami Kreskin type, but it looks like it ain't in the cards, friends.

 

Agree with all of the above. I was more optimistic than most about this team's possible post-season chances, but now I think we are truly screwed.

Now we're down to Cam whenever he's able to come back.

Sounds like minimum 4-6 weeks and max of season ending. Prince gets to continue to run amuck in the starting group unless Rob does us any favors.

 

Yeah, my slim hope of doing anything in the playoffs, unless he can make it back, just disappeared.
