Very good news. As I mentioned in an earlier thread, Mitch's wand isn't broken. He's good at trades. He's just no good so far at luring star FA's. Just hoping we can get a couple of other players. We need a decent SF and a backup vet PG now and I think we can call it a successful offseason.
Great trade. My guess is Mitch had this lined up all along as a backup in case we didn't sign someone. It's why we waited for LMA without any other movement. We could have lined up the Hibbert deal weeks ago. Now to get McDaniels to be our defensive wing, unless Mitch is real confident that Lance or Brown can be our 3 and D guy. A lot of scouts like Brown. Just Google "Anthony Brown sleeper pick." People comparing him to Middleton.
So we basically gave up nothing. Just took back some money thats off the books after this year. It's a win/win deal for us.
Roy Hibbert, welcome to the Lakers!! Age: 28 Height: 7'2" Weight: 278 lb 2014-15 (per 36 min) 15.0 pts 44.6 FG% 10.1 reb 2.3 blk
Hopefully we can get McDaniels and Brooks now. Although I think Caron and Brooks is more likely. Why are we considering Sanders too? Talent is clearly there but 3 troubled bigs? Mitch better have the best babysitter, life coach, and shrinks in LA lined up. Not sure Scott could handle all 3.
Since we are kind of copying the GSW model, maybe he could be our Andrew Bogut? Russell=Curry Thompson=Clarkson Barnes=Nance/Brown Green=Randle Bogut=Hibbert nay? lol poor version of GSW?
Where are all my chicken littles at??????? It's the Same bunch that wanted Mitches head in 05-07 and jerry to sell the team and 3 hours ago assumed Mitch was ....... in the office @Kosstick - EDIT: I agree with your point, but you can make it without baiting the entire forum here, or using inappropriate descriptions. - TIME
Seriously?! WT actually F?! There goes our championship run... Am I doing this outrage over the off-season thing right?
Doesn't Hubert have at least a decent post up game? He was killing Miami when they played each other during the playoffs
