Damn, I knew they took it to Austin. No team targets him in the regular season like the Clipps do, but surprised to see those numbers against Vando.
Before yesterday game In the last three games Clippers made 16.7 shots per 36 attempts. At the moment, the team has the best three-point shooting percentage in the League, 39.8%, 43.6% in the last three games. The Lakers are at the very bottom of the 3-point shooting rankings. On average for the season, and outside the home arena, they are converting 10.8 shots out of 30.1 attempts; in the last three games, they have added 12.3 shots out of 31.3 attempts in this component. The team makes the fewest shots from behind the arc of anyone in the league. The Lakers are also at the bottom in the rankings in terms of the number of three-point shots scored by their opponents. On average this season, opponents are making 14.2 shots out of 38.0 attempts
And yet, people are upset that the Lakers are trying to trade for guys who can actually play defense.
You gotta start somewhere. We aren’t switching out everyone. From what’s being reported, we are after both Murray and Brown. Or is it that if we strike out on Murray, then it’s Brown next? So many reports. I guess Malcom Brogdon is also an option- I don’t know if he’s a good defender or not.
yes i can see it improve a bit but if the help defense scheme continues the way it has been I dont really see 1 perimeter guy changing that, the way they help off of a 3pt shooter has been an issue all yr long
i'll chime in and say one more defender DOES matter. vando being gone early this season (and hobbled at first) hurt us a lot. imagine having vando/reddish, AD, and one more defender. it just takes away lazy ty auerbach iso options, so that you don't get beat by a drum by any team with more than one perimeter player capable of exploiting average to below-average defenders.
Reaves was good on defense TBH - and the Lakers were rolling with Cam and Vando. That play Cam hurt his ankle was sensational he blocked a Harden step back which is crazy hard to do. If I were the Clips the Lakers would be the last team I'd want to face in the playoffs with Cam/Vando/playoff lebron with AD behind them they actually matchup very well with the Clips now.
I agree with this, to a certain extent. Most guys can’t significantly improve a team’s defense, but there are some that can. I’m one of the biggest proponents of flushing Ham and I think we shouldn’t wait until the summer, so yeah, the “scheme” should have been ditched early on in the season. I’m not into short term fixes. I think that trading for Murray now sets us up better for the future. I’m also not into players who can’t, or won’t improve their individual defense.
how do you give up that many points to a bulls team without lavine? this team is horrific defensively
They said he took 2 free throws all night! And he was getting mauled! They even took one call away on that crap review where Caruso had his arm in Lebron's back.
Lying emm effing “defense first” Ham cares more about his Atlanta connection with Prince and that he can hit some 3s than he does about the game changing energy, rebounding, steals and defense that Vanderbilt is capable of bringing now that he’s healthy again. 2 faced s.o.b.
Lol LT... u mad bro? Anyone with an ounce of brain sees, we're punting the season (makes you wonder, how smart Jeanie and Rob really are). Accept it man
Yeah, we're entering miracle territory for home court advantage. Someone else has to fall apart to make that happen.
4 more losses than the Mavs as they won the tiebreaker 5 more losses than the Queens and down 0-2 in H2H so far We'll likely have to win TWO play in games to make the playoffs
