At least this time, it won’t be for a train wreck of a player.

I believe Abeer3 mentioned a Rozier/Richards trade from the hornets.I think something like that is more likely than Murray at this point

giving up anything for rozier would be incredibly stupid. he's not even an upgrade over russell

he's not, but if dlo REALLY has to go, getting a player who's under contract and a viable backup center would be nice. problem there is salary matching, though. can't remember what i proposed, but rozier makes a good chunk more than dlo. adding richards means adding another player or two from our side, and i'm not sure you can get value while doing that.

Every third NBA game in January ends in blowout

Action Network journalist Matt Moore presented statistics on the outcome of NBA matches in the 21st century. A victory with a difference of 16 points or more is considered blowout

In each month of the 2023-24 regular season, NBA teams finish with a large lead difference more often than in the last 23 seasons.

I actually wouldn’t trade DLO to get Rozier I would start with Rui.Dlo is more valuable than Rui for this team because he can be a dynamic scorer which Rui hasn’t shown to be.If you have a Rozier/Dlo rotation will always have a capable dynamic scorer on the floor with AD and LeBron.Admittedly there won’t be much defense being played between those two

I’m completely out on Rozier after looking at how poor his defensive metrics are.

If Toronto decides to part ways with Bruce Brown , the Lakers would be interested in acquiring him, team sources say.

The Lakers were eager to acquire Brown last summer and considered themselves the favorite to sign him using the mid-level exception, writes team writer Jovan Buha of The Athletic.

The Lakers are offering a package of D'Angelo, Hood-Schifino, a 2029 first-round pick and additional draft compensation. Negotiations have stalled but may be resumed. Most likely, with the participation of a third team. Although it is already impossible to believe that Dejounte will leave without a third party,

Haven’t read anything of theirs in forever. Good example of a company not evolving with time. Or alienating their core audience like Budweiser did. Go woke, go broke I’ve seen some post related to the job cuts. Pretty wild to see 100+ year old newspapers and generational magazines just go away and become irrelevant.

I was thinking today on that 3rd team. DLo doesn't make much sense to Atlanta. Not sure what they want. Would Lavine interest them? They need to compete until 2028, and his contract runs till then. He would be funny to watch with Trae, they won't win much but it's entertaining, not sure they aim for more

It's tough to understand what Atlanta wants to fo
I would do Rui for Brown. Might be a good project for Toronto, they do lack a 4.
They might want a pick out of it, would try to keep it and throw one of our young guys

I feel bad for the people who felt compelled to abandon Budweiser on account of it "going woke," since that suggests they, adults with free will, were choosing to drink Buidweiser in the first place, which is closer to beer-flavored La Croix than to actual beer. It also suggests that spokespeople were influencing their choice of products. Absolute bottom of the barrel consumers.

DLO, JHS and 2029 1st for Dejounte.

Since ATL doesn't like DLO, why don't we just put Vincent, JHS, Reddish and 2029 1st for Dejounte?

Give them all our trash basically.

I wouldn’t- with a better coach next season, Rui will look good again.
He’s being sandbagged, just like Austin was earlier by our Fool of a Took.

I'd be ok with some variation of this trade between the Lakers and Hawks, with the Raptors/Hornets involved as faciliators because they need to move pieces around as the deadline nears:
    upload_2024-1-19_16-10-33.png

    - Lakers get their lockdown point guard in Murray, plus the closest thing to a 3&D swingman in Gary Trent Jr. The guy is streaky but he'd be our best 3 point shooter. Both Murray and Trent are Klutch clients as well, with Trent being on a expiring contract. It wouldn't take much to get him to begin with (2nd rounder?) as the Raptors are in rebuild mode and had expressed no desire to bring Trent back.
    - Atlanta will also end up getting picks from the Lakers, and Thadeaus Young is included just to match salaries.
    - The Hornets send out expiring Hayward to Toronto, who would get bought out and immediately join the Lakers for the minimum.
    - Hornets get servicable players for their troubles.
