Between now and the 28th, we only have two games away from Crypto -- Jazz and GS. They can leave the plane running and on the runway for the GS game. They'll only have to be out of their own beds for one night during that run.

The games are tough featuring a lot of good teams but with the tradeoff of no travel and ability to get some practice in.

This will be the chance for the coaching staff to fix things, for management to evaluate the roster, and even a good time to make a trade because the implementation conditions won't be any more favorable.

Of those next 13, I'd say we need to win 9 of them.

now is the time. if the season is going to be salvaged, this is the month to clean house and get it done.

if we don't take care of business, i'm good with nuclear options in february, tbh.

No way we go 9-4. AD is on a tear and we're still a .500 team :(

It's the 4th here on the east coast, so only 11 more days until a trade.

    *allegedly

I feel like we'll be slow on the trigger finger this year, but Rob does deserve kudos for what he had done in the past. What seemed like an amazing roster this year with concerns about getting people enough minutes has turned into a disaster.

lol, this was exactly what i said in some other thread--the reason you don't laze your way through the chicago or miami game (games you should win but slacked off) is so that when the memphis game (b******* shooting performance by an opponent) happens, it's not your 4th straight loss.

but this is the optimism thread, so...dylan windler once had 33 rebound in a g league game?

    i've got nothing.

I thought Ham's lineups actually made sense for the most part but then he chose to play no Reaves and no Lebron with Max at PG which was a disaster.
However, the other lineups looked pretty reasonable to me - baby steps this is the optimism thread.

Max and the team finally seem to be figuring how to use him.

Any loss by less than 43 points will be optimistic which means improvement :LLLLLebronlaughing:
We lost early this season by 44 to Philadelphia .

Was a much needed win and against a legit team. Let's see if they can run off a few wins consecutive.

We seem to have OKC's number. I'll take it. We're too big for them. Chet is green enough you can bait him into foul trouble and then the paint really clears up.

To update my earlier post: we can beat the Suns, the Clippers and the Thunder. That's not bad.

Can we beat the Wolves and the Nuggets?

When Lebron's ankle wasn't busted (he hurt it against the Suns) - the team has wont he last 3 against good competition.

I think you have to make a move: the league is very talented but I take the opposite stance in that doesn't mean you can't have a decisive edge. Where I think the Lakers are is you can find a consistent 3//4 to play with Reaves and a improved guard play that will be a force multiplier. Right now there are at a tipping point: fix the fixable holes and the Lakers advantages at other spots (i.e. AD/Lebron) can become decisive.

2 excellent wins in a row against good Western Conference teams. Let's keep this up!
