Meh..the playoffs don't start until April, D'Angelo has simply played like s***, that's not the coaches fault, it looks like he's infected Reaves. Austin doesn't work starting dude, last season was last season.

I'm with Lebron, getting swept is nothing to brag about.

    https://basketball.realgm.com/wiret...le-Via-Trade-Teams-Monitoring-Possible-Buyout

I forgot about the new rule that teams over the hard cap can’t sign buyout candidates. Fortunately for the Lakers they are under the hard cap so they would be able to sign a guy like Hayward if he gets bought out.

Would love to have a healthy Hayward on this team. He wasn’t worth what his contract paid him but as a buyout candidate, the guy has the skill set to really fit well next to Bron and AD.

Teams that are currently over the tax apron include the Boston C Bags, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, LA Clippers, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns.

This also works in the Lakers favor for all potential buyout candidates, we would be one of the more desirable teams to join for a title run.

Add a recovered CP3, Hayward, and insert defensive minded big that we can throw at Jokic and Embiid. All this could only help this team, not make it worse lol.

Here's the meat of the Woike LA Times Newsletter that's quoted earlier on the last page (Murray- Knicks)

LOL. Way to evade my point entirely since you were flat out wrong again with another of your "devil's advocate extraordinaire" positions.

what's even worse about the zubac trade is that i'm pretty sure he was traded because they knew he was up for a payday and they wanted to keep that money to chase kawhi

but that still doesn't excuse the fact that they couldn't get anything better in return. zubac played great that season while mcgee was injured

Wrong about what exactly? Denver swept us without a PG. We won a chip with Lebron as our starting PG. I don't get the point you are claiming.

yep. i wanted rozier last year before rob pulled a rabbit out of a hat on the russ deal. no thanks now. dlo is a substantially better player. lebron will come to hate rozier as much or more.

Hayward is a great fit, without the original contract.

Other than that, get LaVine (high risk-high reward) or Murray, and if you can't, let's just move on with the team as is - and ask for some accountability & leadership from now on.

WTF Man .... now you act like you have ADD in today's disagreement or can't comprehend simple English? It's NO big deal except I hate when you argue this way .... evasively and disingenuously! I put it in bold red for you the 2nd time around. You color blind too?

"Ham’s genius starting lineup that everyone but you knew would never fly in the playoffs let alone last more than a week or so". It didn't.

And you sincerely think LeBron playing PG now as a steady starting diet is the same as 3 years ago? Come on.

i was encouraged to see tyus jones pop up in that report. i mentioned the other day that jones for dlo + a minor asset both gets us under the tax and gets us out of the jam we created with dlo.

why does washington do it? triple down on kuz/poole. dlo is the natural third musketeer there, and while jones might leave in FA over the summer, dlo probably won't. or if he does, what's the difference? i'd give a top-10 protected swap that turns into 2 2nds just to put it all behind us.

this preserves rui, vando, gabe, and all those future firsts in case something comes up this summer that's more appetizing than the names out there now and prevents a silly bidding war for murray (whom i like, but not at the cost of reaves).

i also liked to see further confirmation/speculation that chicago has to attach assets to lavine. if that's the case, there's less westbrook potential. if it's caruso, i'm obviously listening.

in sum, i feel fairly similar to last year--i'd rather do nothing than get worked. i trust rob not to buckle here, too.

You watch Lavine and he's just at another level as a player then what is available. The contract is scary as hell but he really is an All star elite level athlete. You could see why Chicago gave him the deal.

He credible defended kuminga who was red hot the last game I watched and he can shoot on top of the athletic ability.

He really is a good fit with this team. With him I'm there. It means Lebron Lavine or AR will get the second best POA defender and that means one of them will get the third best! Beal attacks AR ok a****** you better defend on the other end

It will also allow having Cam or Vando in because your offense is going to be solid at the other spots at all times.

strong disagree with that, Rozier’s advanced stats are better than DLo’s across the board. Just a more dynamic scorer than DLo. That said, it’s a fair question whether you want to take on his remaining money for a one-way player. I feel like Rozier had the reputation of being good defensively for a while, probably from that 2018 playoff run with the C Bags. He’d probably fare a little better defensively with us than on that awful Hornets team,

I see people including Rui in trades without any thought.

Ham has failed this kid badly, his sealing if used properly is insane.

This team doesn't have many athletic players but Rui is one of the few we have.
