yep; see my previous comment. i partially subscribed to the pressure theory, but now i'm pretty sure it's just that our coaching and star players don't bring out the best in others.

Monk, Clarkson, Kuz, Dennis S, Caruso, KCP…. People often say those guys would be great fits with AD and Bron. Too bad the Lakers never had a chance to get any of them.

    oh…wait….?????

they couldn't afford to pay monk what he wanted and clarkson had to go to bring in lebron

the only ones that were truly frustrating to lose were schroder, caruso, and KCP. i wasn't really bummed to lose kuzma because he wouldn't have become the player he's become with the wizards if he was still playing with lebron

obviously hate the westbrook trade (and didn't love it at the time either), but the only real gut punch is caruso. that was insane and unforgiveable. and everyone knew it the second it happened.

the zubac deal is also the gift that keeps taking. imagine zu starting halves next to AD. grrrr....

Just brutal. What makes no sense is they paid Nunn so the difference want that big of a deal.

Does waiving Hayes and signing Biyombo change that equation at all or put us even more over the tax? Is it even allowed with an open roster spot?

Lol..Biyombo sucks, especially against Zubac or Jokic, I'm still confused as to why he keeps getting brought up. There has to be better options available than Bismarck Biyombo. We want more size at 5, and the solution is, a 6'8 guy, that struggles against size?

There’s your LOL again. Back at you! He would be a hell of a lot better than Hayes.

I think we'd be in a worse spot. Hayes is guaranteed and there's no reason for him to agree to a buyout. So we'd be paying a player who's not on the roster + paying a new player (Bismack). If you're going to pay Hayes, might as well keep him on the roster too.

We're cheap when we can be. Remember us waiting on signing 10 day guys to save a few days of salary? Unless AD or Bron get hurt, I don't think we sign anyone until after we a) trade more than we take back. B) the buyout market churns out bodies. (Also think players wait to see what opportunities open up)

Keep in mind we signed Vincent for less than the full MLE, so we do have a little extra coin we can offer to a FA to give us the edge... as long as it doesn't f*** us with the luxury tax tier, so it might depend on the kind of trade we end up making.

It gets an Lol..because it's a laughable proposition. The guy just got run off the floor against the Clippers and Nuggets in the playoffs last season. I don't get why we should think it will work any better here.

    No f***ing way..
Atlanta and New York were in talks to trade Dejounte Murray.

Los Angeles Times journalist Dan Woike reports.

“According to NBA insiders , the Hawks were in talks with the Knicks to offer Dejounte Murray in exchange for Immanuel Quickley and a first-round draft pick,” Woike writes.
But from Lakers they want whole nine yards including Reaves and Shaq's Pizza franchise

    BTW
    It was original trade
The Hawks acquired Murray and Jock Landale from the San Antonio Spurs in June 2022. In exchange, they sent Danilo Gallinari, a conditional 2023 first-round pick, and 2025 and 2027 first-round picks to the Spurs. The two teams also swapped 2026 first-round picks.

Quickley makes less than 5M per, the Knicks were going to have to give up more than that, draft picks don't carry monetary value in trades.

The second s*** happens with an AD ankle or finger or whatever and he’s out … it will be. On top of the other issues …. on par with your “LOL” genius coach.

How’d that no PG lineup age for you? LOL!!

??? We have 4 PGs right now, and the Suns beat us without playing one.

“LOL” :Jeanie Srsly: …. that’s your reply? No Silly …. Ham’s genius starting lineup that everyone but you knew would never fly in the playoffs let alone last more than a week or so, with LeBron in his least effective utilization (at this stage of his career) ….. or further “LOL” Cam or Rui up top trying to pretend they were DLO or Austin initiating the offense.
