lol, SAS is such a clown. i'm saying that with equal parts annoyance and marvel. "betrayed". i have no idea what he's talking about. i'd agree that the non-lebron and AD players have almost to-a-man played worse than i was hoping/expecting, but it's not like it's been dramatic. more importantly, it's not on purpose! one case of interest is rui. in my mind, he's been disappointing, but...look at the stats--he's been basically the EXACT SAME player he's been his whole career. yes, we were hoping for improvement, but it just didn't happen. vando's been worse on offense than he has for years, but i'm chalking that up to small sample size/rust (not laziness or complacency as SAS seems to be suggesting). gabe died. dlo's actually just been dlo. even taurean prince has just been...the same guy. i really think the answer is that injuries and weird coaching choices disrupted any cohesion and continuity we were hoping to have, so we've been a perpetual preseason team that wins half their games on sheer talent from one or both of lebron and AD.
In yet another must-win game, we were tied this time going into the 4th and MEM outscored us 33-19 and we lost yet again. MEM is the worst outside shooting team in the NBA and yet they went 23 of 45 from 3 against us, and Smart was 8 of 14. We used to play great D. No longer. We used to have a pretty good offense. Now? I'm not so sure. And Darvin Ham is complaining about his media coverage. At this point what went right and what went wrong is beside the point. I wonder what's gone wrong off the court. I really don't know. What went right? How about this: The crowd at Crypto finally started booing loudly.
AD played great D last season, on a lot of nights Dennis held his own against the primary ball handlers. While Jarred was able to specifically hound a certain player for stretches. That was our defense The team that went into the playoffs was an offensive team. That was our biggest strength, until D'Angelo forgot how to shoot against Denver.
Bueno: We beat the Flippers LeBron’s monster dunk( PED’s work for old men too) Defensive effort Wood turning his overall play around on both ends AD’s midrange Malo: Idiotic refs not understanding what a Flagrant Foul is (the play where Wood got close to Powell on the three) Not giving a foul at the end and letting them shoot a three Basura: Me wanting to slap Magic after EVERY time I watch Zubac playing for the wrong team(20 and 18 tonight along with very solid D) Cam Reddish’s lack of handles or any offensive game other than an occasional three Ham still needs to be fired.
Yeah Zu has matured into a nice strong and mobile center. He looked aggressive guarding out near the 3 line. Same thoughts on losing him when we could have had him all these years. And his hot 5 years older girlfriend.
Very strange. Maybe Ham promised to slip Lue a few G’s if he left one on PG, Kawhi, and BeerdoMcFloppington, out of it we’re close at the end?
Right: 48 mins of solid effort. Good D on Kawhi, who is at times impossible to guard. 6 for 17! Surprised and delighted by C-Wood's stepping up big-time in the 3rd Q. My gawd we beat a team that was looking like a Top 3 in the West, with DEN and MIN. How things have changed in 3 1/2 weeks. Lotta games left. Maybe we can right this ship. But Imma need a handful of wins the rest of this month. Not gonna lie: I approached this game with a lot of trepidation. Glad they proved me wrong! Barrett and Quickley already playing with TOR like they been there for two years. Let's not take them lightly. They put up 76 in the first half tonight in San Francisco.
Right: AD was spectacular. Prince Cam and Wood with really good games. Wrong: AD only getting three shots total in quarters 2 and 3. If you are Ham you have to figure out how to get him the ball when he can’t be stopped. AR rough night until the end.
AD kicked your a**. League awards the aggressor, unless your name is LeBron James. Then you had to foul at the end. Guess you didn't learn zen from Phil when hanging out with him the other day, enjoy your fine.
Dear Darko, Your rant is complete BS and a shame. And people who aren't blind are wondering how you could have seen what Anthony FREAKING Davis did to you...and then say Scottie Barnes is gonna be "the face of this league." I'd ask you to explain yourself, but then you'd be talkin' again, and no one wants that. Sincerely, Reality
Hey Yo, Darko: the NBA looked at the play - or one of 'em - that made you cry, and you were WRONG: Q4 00:24.7 Foul: Offensive RJ Barrett Anthony Davis CC Video Comment: Barrett (TOR) does not establish a legal screening position in Davis's (LAL) path, moving directly into him without giving him an opportunity to avoid the contact. Davis's reaction was reviewed by senior league managers and determined to not meet the criteria for a postgame flopping violation because his movement is in the direction of his initial path given the contact. Suck it up, weasel. We know you can.
