we'd probably have like, 3 total losses if we hit open threes at a league average clip. this isn't even from our bad shooters! do those big spots on the back of his shooting shoulder have something to do with it? he's been such a nothingburger offensively, which is actually shocking. it was the only thing i expected him to do well right off the bat.
OKC is a good team. Kind of figured this would be a L tho. So we're 11-9 after the first 20. Split the Mavs Dallas game, win the back to back against the Spurs, win against the Knicks, Bulls, etc. The games you're expected to win while we wait to get healthy. In January and beyond, we make a run toward the top 4.

I know he's had three surgeries to repair a torn labrum, and a lot of athletes - esp ones in Olympic events - believe in it. I've never seen anything like this (hypothetical): Reporter: Your outside shot hasn't been falling lately. Is that, sometimes, you're "too open", as you guys sometimes say? Player: Naw, man. I overdid the cupping. Gonna dial it back. See if the shots fall. Reporter: Have you tried voodoo? Dancing naked in a forest in a full moon, with your chakras aligned? Nepalese prayer beads? Player: What? Do you think I'm some sorta woo-woo dude?
The FO has made some good decisions in the draft and with signing DS to a team friendly deal last year, trading for Rui for example. But: Letting Lopez go Letting Caruso go Trading for Westbrook Not resigning DS Not finding a legit backup 5 this year
On 12/2/23: Lakers beat HOU in LA 107-97. Right: Vando's back! Almost all the good stuff he does for us doesn't show up in the box score, but the proof is in the pudding. We hold HOU under 100. I think he had something to do with that in his 14 mins. Welcome Back Vando! AD continues to not take games off. Good stretch lately: 27/14 with FIVE BLOCKS! And yea: they don't count how much you warp the other team's offense by trying to stay away from you. AR was solid. Lebron was solid. That twisting baseline drive and layup was ree-diculous. Taurean and Max combined to go 6 for 8 from deep. But no one else could hit one. And so it goes. Good to see Max go 3-3 at home from 3. Wrong: D-Lo crashed back to Earth. But he'll be fine. Wood in 11 mins: 1/2/1. Right vol II: Rui was okay to play, but they gave him another game off. Ham told a reporter "Physically he's fine except for his nose." Not exactly breaking news. Memo to Coach: the nose is part of the "physical." It's underrated. Running up and down the court, you tend to use your nose to BREATHE. Also, Rui sniffs out good plays, has a nose for the ball and can just smell the weakness in the guy who's guarding him. He makes a quick move and hits a 14 footer from the elbow. The "elbow" in this sense is not part of the physical. My point is: Rui's almost back. Lakers WIN! On a Saturday night, too. Sweet!
The good: some really good D out there. Cam was hustling, Dlo had 5 steals, Ad with 5 blocks. Nice to have Vando back too. Bad: still not very successful from 3 at 29%.
Right If the team plays this way, THIS IS a team I can ENJOY watching. - Effort and highlight plays AD being assertive against physical defense with Sengun and the den of a******* that is the Houston Rockets with Brooks AD handling the ball better and not being an automatic turnover when pressed Reaves bouncing back as most of us thought he would. Making multiple free throws in a row, getting steals, dunks, three pointers, the man is a walking intangible in this mode. Mr Intangible for the win Bron playing tough, some laser guided passes, some jaw dropping plays (360 layup through two players initiated in the paint) looking calm and composed Cam Reddish shows vital signs and earns and does not burn his contract. DLO performing like a super man on defense, DLO the man of steals We beat a reasonable opponent on our home court and held a ten point lead for over half the game. I am EXCITED for this stupid in season tournament now I am HYPED. Wrong No Jack on site, no Kobe on Earth physically, A couple of days till the next Lakers game.
What went right: We woke up and played some legit Defense. AR's hot quarter Lebron's Crazy Layup What went wrong: We didn't beat Dillon Brooks and Ime Udoka by 50
#allegedly He has to play enough games to qualify, so pretty much nobody is getting their hopes up about that one. Appreciate him while you have him.
Good: AD great first half, Lebron and Reaves fantastic fourth. Bad: AD just disappeared on offense in that second half. Also our shooting was brick city. 37% overall. Yikes. Atrocious. Lucky we played some D!
