i think we don't get the details on a lot of these injuries. like when AD had a "calf strain", i'm almost certain that was an achilles thing that they didn't want to talk about. same thing i feel when i hear about "heel" issues. i'm certain vando would rather be playing basketball than not, even after signing the contract. i'm good with being super cautious (especially given the extension).
They had a shot of him sitting on the bench last night, and I did get a look at his shoes. Lol..I don't know LT...those soles looked pretty thick to me..I posted it in the game thread. A 24 year old guy having a 3 inch growth spurt, sounds more unlikely than him wearing lifts IMO. I would think our players and staff would have mentioned it by now. It would be great if it did happen though
OK. I wonder what quarter that was in you saw that .... do you remember? If motivated enough (probably not) I could scan the footage. If true just seems so odd for a guy that tall to do that. But if I recall correctly, wasn't the rumor coming out of the Lakers' camp during the summer?
Nah..It was the Detroit game. 1st quarter 7:18 mark. He's sitting next to Austin when AD took a tumble after a basket. Those soles are pretty thick compared to the sneakers Austin was wearing. It's a probably a better shot later in that game, but it took forever scanning through the OKC game, I never got a good look at his feet in that one. We'll see hopefully in a few days. Edit..A better shot is immediately after that, coming back a break, he's standing next to Wood. That's a clear shot, Wood is 6-9 and maybe another 1/2 inch. He's definitely taller than Jarred, looks like a couple of inches TBH
Lol. And damn...I forgot to mentioned it, but that's not Vanderbilt anyway. Jarred had on the Blue shirt with the shiny stuff on it.
