Absolutely agree. The scouting report on Austin must be to pressure him out there full court because every team is doing it and with decent success. Maybe if Vincent is back things will lighten up in that department and we'll see better overall play for Austin. As it is teams are disrupting his game with the on ball pressure. He's more of a Jeff Hornacek type player, a SG who can also handle the ball decently than a Nash.
Hornacek- I couldn’t stand that guy. He was always great against us and his touching of the cheek at the free throw stripe always bugged me until I learned what it was for.
Another big f*** up by Rob, continuity matters a lot, Dennis was winning a few games by himself in regular season and playoffs.
Well...Houston has the kind of guys that give Austin some problems. Long, athletic guys, if you ask me..the refs are letting these kids, get away with a lot of hacking this season. They play with a lot of energy though, it will interesting to see how Austin adjusts to that tonight. He needs to be aggressive on his drives..Pump fake, lean in, get some foul calls.
Played real solid today. Huge 3 off the Lebron trap. Definitely clutcher than Dlo who blew an open layup in the 4th.
Who hates Austin in Lakers forum? Honest question I know other teams fans don't like him but he's got to be one of the most liked players by Lakers fans in a long time
Should have played 32 minutes instead of 25 , Ham is stupidly going through automatic/blind rotations regardless who's playing well
It's OK - he had a big 3 to put us up 3...I'm good with that...can't miss those FT's though so we're lucky to escape with a dub
Some seriously clutch plays. But also some bad turnovers and that missed free throws. He was big tonight though all in all. And that long three he got hit by Brooks on his follow through. Should have been a four point opportunity.
Bron giving AR the Cam confidence building exercise. Should we call him Dame Reaves with that range? Guess Bron isn't the only one who ups their play when Bronny is in the building Couple bad, loud TOs, outside of that he had a really efficient game. No clue how he didn't foul out earlier. Hacked Bron repeatedly, hit Bron on a 3 same way he did AR, and then the foul on AR.
Houston in general gets away with a lot of hacking. Defensive intensity it's called these days. They get away with a fair share of illegal defense too.
