Funny he went there as I was thinking about that this morning with replacing Trevor's name with Vanderbilt's. And was being serious. :giggle:

yeah, i'm probably vando's biggest fan on the forum, but him just showing up can't fix this.

i'm hanging my hat on the fact that this team won two playoff series just a few months ago. the wheels just falling off seems unlikely.

i reserve the right to disavow this comment.

We started 2-10 last year and the narratives around us then were A LOT worse and we had fricking russ on our team and no depth.

With that said...it's still really early. This team was 25-31 at the all star break and still rallied to be 7th seed and made it to WCF.

I won't panic with this team basically until they're out of the playoffs....

Optimism, the wins we do have so far are some important ones, for potential seeding/tiebreakers later if we keep up the trend. Beat the Clippers once and the Suns twice. Some of the losses suck, but except for the Kings one won’t hurt us in our division. The 2 Phoenix wins could prove to be big later on, even bigger if we can get 1 more of the remaining 2 vs them.

Yeah. This is really important as we know things will be tight in the West. The more division wins we can stack up now while the team is figuring things out the better off we will be when we hit our groove.

I appreciate the 63% from 3 but can we have consistent 40% nights instead of 28,28,60?

AD, Lebron, Prince, Cam, Reaves lineup is becoming the lineup I'm most intrigued about. You can basically switch everything and the team retain playmaking, size, and is athletic

Despite the fresh faces on both teams last night, to me, it was clear that AD took it personally that JJJ won DPOY last year and the whole Lakers squad just really wanted to make it a point to bring it to them.

First time they won a first quarter i think? First half also? I don’t think it’s a coincidence.

Our Lakers clearly had motivation behind this dominating win and I think a lot of last season and the Grizzlies chirping stayed fresh in our players’ minds. It was a sight to see. Our Lakers still wanted it despite beating them in 6 games last year!! You love to see it.

To me, this shows that when our Lakers want to commit, they can be amazing to watch.

Sure it was a great effort and shooting from deep (historically) from the Lakers but look at the Grizzlies’ record and they are a shell of themselves currently. Enjoyable game for sure to have a blowout win for a change.

Love the vibes on this team

There's still a lot of work to be done but compared to where we were 10 games in last year...

I think I mentioned this in the pre-season but at their best this group of players has a nice combination of passing between playmakers and ball rotation types that makes for a very pleasing style of basketball.

The way the ball was moving to whoever was open was very late Duncan era Spurs like (except for Rui who just shot whenever he got the ball lol)

Honestly, the main thing I probably liked last night was just watching us completely smackdown a wannabe rival. We wanted to continue sending a message to them and we did that.

Speaking of wannabe rival… Please bring that same energy, focus, determination, effort, and consistency for tonight’s game!!! I’d like to see that same mentality from the onset.

If we win tonight, we're a serious team on a right path. If we get blown out, last few games were a fluke and it's back to the drawing board.
    Let's freakin' go!!!

Cam should be able to give Fox considerably more problems than DLO or AR did.
