I don't recall Perk was that valuable

Kendrick Perkins didn't include Luka Doncic in his top five offensive players in the NBA.

Former NBA player and ESPN expert Kendrick Perkins has compiled his list of the best offensive players in the 2023-24 season.

The rating is topped by four-time league top scorer (last time in 2014) Kevin Durant (Phoenix). Behind him are Stephen Curry (Golden State), Nikola Jokic (Denver) and Joel Embiid (Philadelphia). The top five was completed by Boston forward Jayson Tatum .

    yeah, here's the clippers payroll:

    upload_2023-11-9_15-39-36.png

doubt they'd move hyland, and coffey/brown/boston i don't think quite gets to the 125%, plus aren't they in position where they can't take more salary back in a trade? so plumlee himself would have to be involved in any deal. i think they should just be patient. they have to wait a full month to move plumlee anyway because he was signed this summer and not extended. he'll be back in two months. is it worth giving up your first rounder from this year for a month's worth of backup center play?

Based on salary close to that and roster redundancy, it'd have to involve Mann. Pacers don't really need him, so maybe a 3rd team?

Ouch. He's been like 60% of their offense.

I don't want to trade Rui. I like a smaller deal involving D'Angelo, JHS and maybe even a top 15 protected 1st. I know that Austin is struggling right now, but I think he would benefit from playing with a less shot happy/more defensive minded backcourt partner.

I would go after Caruso or Brogdon by themselves. I think D'Angelo JHS, or a protected 1st, should be enough for either of those two.

Brogdon gets injured so frequently, that if we gave up JHS, I'd want US to receive some type of draft compensation back. Even if it's two 2nd rd picks.

Rui can be a Derozan like scorer IMO. I still believe that he is a valuable asset. However Myles Turner is still on my wishlist..trading Rui and keeping D'Angelo could work..We could still do a D'Angelo deal later. Or IF we could insert Vincent,JHS/1st rd pick, instead of D'Angelo or Rui..I'd roll with that too.

Yeah, I REALLY like Rui. His offense is pure and really fun to watch. He's one of my 4 favorite Lakers on this squad.

If we have to make a significant move though, he'll likely have to be included because of DLO's low price tag.

I see DD more as a DLO replacement if this offense doesn't pickup. He put up 20+ nearly 2x as much as DLO did last year.

I'm in favor of a Turner acquisition too but the Pacers are too good. They're filling out the roster and have been pouring on the buckets this season. Considering they don't much like trading with us, we'd have to get destroyed in a trade to get him here before he hits FA in 2025.

If we're going to find a trade partner the most likely candidates are Chicago, Washington, and maybe Utah as the season progresses (for a non fringe move). Two are s*** shows and the other is a strong candidate to be one as the season goes along.

I'm a little Iffy on Demarr...he's not really a perimeter shooter, and does most of his work, in Lebron and AD's preferred operating space. I think that it would become a similar situation to Kuz here. Some nights it would click, on others, it would be an awkward fit.

i've always been skeptical on the derozan fit. maybe as a sixth man who comes in to help close games (basically the current rui role), but even then...when does he run out of gas? probably as soon as he puts on our uniform. i don't want lavine, either.

i'd actually consider irving if we keep looking like this. he's a perfect fit for our needs offensively. it would take dlo plus rui or vando, and it would probably require dallas not being in the top 4 at the time of the trade.

again, still hoping we can just get some health and stop playing like dog s***. i still like the theory of this team, even if it's starting to feel like the marc gasol/schroder/trez season (i thought that team was going to be really good).

Maybe not, considering the Nets were doing pretty well last year when he decided he was out lol. He is a perfect fit offensively, although he looked a half step slower in the one Mavs game I've seen (the opener). If I understand Vando can't be traded this season so it would have to be Rui. I really like Rui and probably overrate him a bit, but the thought of sending out a pretty solid wing player for a small guard just feels weird to me. We'd almost have to commit to playing more AD at the 4, Wood at the 5.

Thank god we can't move most of our guys until December. No sense to make any trade based on 8 games, most with half the roster.

I also don't think we need any overhaul. 8 games ago everyone loved this roster. We may need a couple tweaks here and there but nothing major.

I also don't want to waste any assets (Rui, DLo, JHS, picks) in DeMar, Lavine or any other downtrending superstar. Those assets are to be used in Luka (he'll for sure be available), Ant, Dejounte, Booker...

Just be patient, I trust Rob

I wonder if the narrative starts to change around Lillard if the Bucks don't meet expectations.

read somewhere that middleton looks cooked (i haven't watched him much), and that would be the killer, imo.

he's 32, and his contract goes 2 years past this one. it's possible they're just being really cautious, and he'll get back to something like he was before, but it's also possible they have 30 million tied up in a guy who maybe is barely rotation quality.
