Rockets have a better record than us, so it’s kind of a big ask.

a loss to houston wouldn't be shocking, but it would inch me really close to the panic button.

what i don't want to see is AD gimping around out there. if he's not 100%, start wood and give him a shot at a revenge game. also take some of the wind out of houston's sails, as they'd be favored to beat an AD-less lakers team at home instead of using this as a statement of some sort.

I expect a win tonight so i will probably be fully onboard the panic train if we lose.

We should be motivated and ready to go after getting beatdown by the Magic and losing a tough one to the Heat. As long as we are at .500 or near it hear in the early season, I think we are okay long term. Start sinking too low and it really is last season all over again.

Hope Lebron is ready to destroy Brooks once again. If not, mark this as a loss.

Should result in some bargains this summer and a lot of competition for MLEs

Houston sent rookie Cam Whitmore to the G League to play for Rio Grande.

The 19-year-old forward was selected by the Rockets with the 20th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. In three NBA games, he averaged 2.3 points and 1.0 rebounds per game.

The G League season begins Friday.
Damn,so GOAT will not play tonight vs Reaves..

Isn't Alex the same the same type of player as JHS? In any case, I would look into sending Vincent + JHS to Chicago for Caruso. It hurts to loose to 20-year old JHS who at worse case scenario could be a Caruso type of defender. However, that would be the carrot that we dangle in order to dump the Vincent contract (If the Lakers are really regretting the signing). If not JHS, then we could also attach Lewis and/or second-round picks. I would absolutely not go as far as including Christie though.

Ouch tough crowd..Gabe has only played 4 games this season. That isn't a decent sample size at all. I predict that he will be looking a lot better by his 20th game.

I still like our 3 headed "3rd star" approach right now. Austin, D'Angelo and Rui, those 3 guys provide a lot punch for this squad.
Rui has only played in 3 games, and Austin and D'Angelo, have been a bit uneven in their play so far, but I thought D'Angelo and Austin were starting to get into a groove , before D'Angelo got ejected. Rui will be back soon, so gloom and doom is a bit premature at this point IMO.

Yeah, one guy just about had a triple double and was on the international steam and stood out.

Seems a bit premature for that. I'd say the issue is more with effort on defense and some interesting coaching decisions.

ick. although all the depth i was so happy about got erased in like, three days, so who knows?

yeah, me too. i think if we aren't wrecked by injuries we have at least one more win right now, if not two, and nobody's too upset.

How about no to the 3-star approach?

yeah, that's sucked. that and another bout of absolutely putrid open shot conversion to start the year. we picked it up a little bit last year after a similar start, but why these starts? twice seems like the start of a trend.

No trades can happen on our end until December 15th right? I’d love to see Caruso back.

I'm sure we have and will communicate with Chicago throughout the season even if nothing happens there. There are 4 players who could help us to varying degrees and they're the most likely to push the tank button -- AC, DD, LaVine and Vucevic.

I am in favor of tinkering as needed, but am against the three star model because if they're a true 3rd star and paid like one, it'll strip us of depth and I don't think that's a path for us making it to the Finals.

It is way too soon to think about early frame work of a deal because we have no idea what we have yet because of injuries. We should have a clear picture by Jan 15th when all the tradeable guys are eligible to be moved.
