I am sad to say, but his game really dropped off this season. I mean, it had to happen, it's not that surprising.... but it is sad to see.

IMO, he's been playing fine. Could do away with the ISO threes in late-game situations, though... Gotta cut down on the turnovers (likely an adjustment period in him figuring out how his teammates like to get the ball and get into spots) and hopefully his FT% climbs back up. He's 39 years old and still playing great. The rest of the guys have to step it up so LeBron isn't pressured to have to do everything out there and can pick/choose when to turn it up. Ideally, Rui should step it up...

The explosion in the half court and stop and go speed isn't the same, that's clear. But if he was going full tilt in game 4 of a 100+ game season + post-season, i'd be worried. Sure he won't play in all those, but you want him available and at his absolute peak when you need it in May and June.

Tough crowd he went 4-6 and he drove every possession in the 4th till the 2 3 point shots
He had another LeIso Drive that put Wood in a bad position but outside of that I thought he was pretty good in the 4th quarter

If anything what was stupid was the sloppy passing that led to transition Orl points: for some reason both him and Reaves passing just seems off so far.

That being said the reason I mentioned tough crowd is if you told me that Lebron would still be able to finish off a b2b after an OT game the night before - I think this performance would have been more than people expected

Yeah I'd say he's moving a lot better than he did last year when he struggled to get around centers.

It's clear he's saving most of his attacks for the 4th quarter this year. He's currently averaging 9.3ppg on 65%, 37.5 3pt% to go with 80% from the line in the final period

Oh, I do agree with that, no question. I am just noticing how much slower he is overall. He has to work extra hard for those layups as well. He has that enormous strength going for him, that's for sure. And the foot seems to be better. But this is the first year I can say with certainty -- "this is not the Bron of old". The way he plays is just different now.

Love him. Hate him. Doesn't matter, enjoy it. If you like basketball, appreciate what he's doing at this age. Don't think we'll see this again.

Incredible. Simply the best despite the slight loss of athleticism. AR lob to LBJ got me going!!!

Agree about his FTs. Misses wayyyy too many for a game that shoots a decent 3 ball now.

Practice your FTs the way you do your 3s please. That has been your weakness your whole career (FTs), but you can at least limit to 1 or 2 misses a game per every 10 or so…

Just unreal. Russ hitting that 3 in his face seemed to turn super sayan NBA finals Lebron on.
Except for the FT's - jesus 3 pointers, bully ball at the rim, mid-range pull ups, Bill Russell outlet passes (he had like 4 of these that led to dunks/layups), and on defense can lock up without help 1-5.

Incredible performance from the old man tonight! Turning back the clock. 35 points on 68% shooting? At age 38 and 11 months? That's just completely nuts. And the chase down block on Brick was priceless!
