That Damn meme is one of the best things of the internet.
A lot of people getting overpaid before the cap increase. Minnesota is closer to Charlotte as poorest run franchise than people think. Absurd

    Carry the one...

    $62m a year!?

Oof. Top 2-3 players in the league. Hard to argue he's not worth it, but there's still sticker shock

Klay's in the same boat as Donkey was in this off season. Warriors can't keep extending these guys at max type contracts even with their deep pockets. That's another thing I would expect to go south with the Clippers if indeed they give up anything of value to get HAREN there. They won't do it just for a rental. So they'll have to commit to some sizable extension ..... and where is that going to leave Russ mentally when he knows he's supposed to be a leader and how hard he plays every night .... with the knowledge there's not going to be anything remotely similar in store for him going forward?

contract will allow the Greek forward to earn more throughout his career: he will be able to sign a short-term agreement with Milwaukee in 2026, and then issue a 4-year extension in 2028. Under collective bargaining agreement rules, clubs cannot offer multi-year deals to players who turn 38 before October of the final season of their previous contract. And according to this scheme, Antetoquekounmpo will be able to qualify for another big contract; in 2032 he will be 37 years old.

Don’t think he’s going to age that well with his skills once the athleticism’s gone.

I'm excited for Wemby but I just can't see a 7'4 player staying healthy in today's game where you're constantly moving, setting screens, and one bad movement can cause you to miss the entire season and could potentially damage your career. Particularly, players who dive for the ball and then you have a 230 lb individual with all their force crushing into Wemby's thin legs.

Losing Steven Adams is a huge hit for Memphis. With Brooks gone, Ja missing about 25% of the games, and now Steven Adams being injured, I'd be surprised if they make the playoffs this season. Marcus Smart is a great addition but Smart, Bane, and JJJ isn't enough to win you enough games at least until Ja is back.

I'm optimistic about the Lakers. They have the length, youth, decent shooting, and guys like Reaves, Rui, and D'Lo are only going to get better from the experience they just had in the WCF. I'm curious to see Woods development because he can be a real game changer for the Lakers if he can play some defense. Only bad signing, IMO, is Gabe Vincent's contract. I'd rather the Lakers try and keep Schroder as he has a history of playing well versus Gabe who has a rather short sample size and was pretty awful in some of the playoffs games. But no question, the Lakers won the free agency market. Reaves is arguably one of the best contracts in the league right now for a starter.

In real life Jordan 'may' be Jimmy Butler's father.

In an alternate dimension, Space Jam Jordan may be Victor Wembanyama's father.

Spoiler alert they have the same arm(s)

Their "big 3" all have health issues, and it's going to be a problem for them this season, just watch.

Not saying we don't have those same problems, but at least we're bigger and deeper than the Suns.

If it were the Lakers, he'd be ready to play. He would even show up early.

If this did happen, not sure how good the resulting Knicks team is. You'd have to hope the Sixers chose Fournier over Randle or Barrett since he's on a team option for next year. Brunson/Grimes/Quickley/Hart/Embiid, that's a really small team. If they could somehow keep Randle in an Embiid deal they'd be a serious contender IMO.
