Seems like we wouldn't need two Street Clothes on the roster? Colin will be ready by then / sooner / put another sleeper order in with the Scouts?

Man..Steven Adams is a big loss for Memphis. He gave them another element for the playoffs. The ability to bang, and play more physical, against opposing bigs.

Zach Collins represents a nice tradeable contract for the Spurs, to add more high end talent around the Frenchman.

Memphis is out of contender status, he's injured since January and out for another season...
The loss of Adams is a brutal blow to Memphis' frontcourt, which is also slated to be without Brandon Clarke (Achilles) for most of 2023-24.
They won't make a play inn

Sounded from X comments like it was the same knee?

Edit .... same knee but they didn't operate last season. Tried to stabilize it without surgery.

Hope Bron's mysterious foot injury / fix solution fares better.

Shaquille O'Neal says five NBA legends would beat the league's current superstars

Former NBA star Shaquille O'Neal asked fans to think about who would win in a confrontation between five NBA legends and five current league superstars.

The five legends, in addition to O'Neal , included Kobe Bryant , Magic Johnson , Michael Jordan and Larry Bird.

The team's roster of current superstars: LeBron James , Stephen Curry , Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nikola Jokic.

“You already know my question. So, let's begin. I honestly don't know. Let me rephrase that, my team will definitely win, but it won't be easy. This may be the best matchup yet," O'Neill wrote.

Looks like season is starts soon

I'd pay a few bucks on PPV to see that 7 game series. Of course next question is are we talking primes?

Gotta go with Team Legend. They guard Team Current better than vice versa and much stronger mentally >>> No contest.

Vet min, 15th man. At 6-6, 265 lbs he can play small ball 5. Put him against Joker.

Any squad with either Jordan or Kobe in their prime wins against any other. Those two together??? No contest.

And Shaq. That's not talked enough. I was young at the time but have watch a ton of games from that time and there's no one who can handle Shaq. You just give him the ball down low and it's over.

Spacing with Durant and Curry with Giannis and Lebron rim running with Jokic as the point center would be incredibly tough to defend.

i had to rewind a couple times on a play he was guarding wiggins because i was like...who's that pg gs has on the floor? that's not...that's not...wiggins?! wtf!!

gotta get into his body with force, and i'm not sure that even does it.

what if zion wasn't quick? seriously, basketball and football athleticism are different. zion (and lebron) would have been incredible tight ends. gronk could maybe play for a college team a la tony gonzalez.

This would be one heck of a matchup. Prime Shaq could not be stopped by Joker. But Joker's passing couldn't be stopped by Shaq either. The issue is the size on the current team. Jordan guards who? Giannis? Not a good matchup for him defensively. Larry Bird on Giannis? That's tough as well. Kobe obviously chases Curry but Curry can still put up points with little space. Magic and Lebron pretty much cancel each other out. Who guards KD? He's too tall. So much size on that team. Kobe and Shaq get their points for sure, Kobe would just destroy Curry. But Jordan would have a difficult time getting his points against Giannis or KD. He basically lived by beating up on smaller guards of his era. Larry gets the other one and would have some of the same troubles trying to shoot over either of them. I might have to take the current team in this match.

True. I was going to include Shaq in my post but didn’t. When he was with the Magic and first few seasons with us, he was very quick, agile and obviously had the ability to over power multiple guys at once down low.

We also have to determine which era, regarding rules of defense, would this played in. Curry, for instance, would easily be shut down if he actually had to play in an era in which on ball defense was allowed. It hasn’t been for a long time now.
On the flip side, if Jordan and Kobe were playing in today’s SOFT NBA, they would draw a foul nearly every time driving the lane.
