Is it just me, or has our only disappointment this preseason been the rookie? This team looks very dangerous.

The defense hasn't caught up to the offense, but the offense looks great.

I admit I don't get excited about practice games much these days, but I am looking forward to seeing the regular rotation guys and how this team is coming together with all of the talent we have.

Even the 3rd stringers were able to hang last night, it was great to see. I honestly feel that - if we played the starters as much as other teams play them in important moments- we'd win every pre-season game without too much trouble.

The ONLY game I was not sure about this was the first game, but maybe even that one.

This is what shows Ham is installing a good system. Whoever is in there it still works. He is putting guys in the right places to succeed and he even has DLO buying into defense. Multiple things go into defense but it starts with effort and desire. Ham is winning coach of the year and the other teams are playing for second place. We will have all-star level play from LeBron, AR, DLO and MVP play from AD, as well as a deep bench.

I was thinking, if against the odds with health for all 4 ..... the Lakers could do the 4 all star trick AGAIN (Shaq, Kobe, Eddie, Nick) possibly with Born, AD and DLO and AR if the latter 2 just kill it in the 1st half. Or maybe that's just not possible any more with the Lakers hate, PLUS all the great guards in the league. But we should have All Star level PLAY out of AR and DLO at the least if they're healthy. BIG 3? Nah Man .... Big 4 thank you very much!!

We are still doing conferences this year right?
Dame is out of the West but Luka, Curry and Shai are a lock at the guards. Then you have Kyrie, Murray, Booker, Beal, Fox, Ant and maybe Ja. Barely impossible to get 2 guards there.

Bench nowadays is positionless if I'm not wrong, but it's always very political and media driven, no way Booker or Ant miss for Dlo or Reaves, so maybe if there are some spots in the forwards. If Kawhi/PG are hurt it may open some spaces. There's definitely a lack of forwards in the West, only LeBron and KD are locks, if AD and KAT count as center.

also conveniently using counts when we've played more games than most of the list.

all true, but if we were to say, win 80% of our games prior to the ASB, that gets coaches' votes. also, injuries traditionally take out about half the list, lol.

btw, i'd call luka a forward even if he plays pg on offense, and the nba should, too.

We got so many good young guys we need to make a second team to put in the east. They might make the playoffs.

Suns have a Nurk problem. If you have a top end legit big who can move around and isn't bothered by his size, he's a series costing liability.

Lakers, Nuggets, Grizz, and Minny are going to be a handful for them because their front court inefficiencies.

They have to get 90 from the 3 to win. If you can take one of those away, score the ball and impose your will in the middle, they're in trouble. Out of those 4, I don't think Minny can generate enough offense and Ant will have to continue defending like he did on Team USA. The other three teams have the front court and can take one of the big 3 away.

Agree with you. Thing is they also have guys like Gordon who can score at easy too. Or a few shooters who will be wide open and can knock down some 3s. In a couple minutes they're a team who can easily score like 15pts.

But yeah the plan is around what you said. They also played Durant at the 5 and we didn't take advantage (they actually went on a run). We need to murder that lineup inside

I'm fine with that, if the ball is in his hands (or one of their cheap shooters) then it's not in one of the big three's. And it means they're going small, in which case... be my guest. Same with KD at the 5.

I actually think they'll have to go with Eubanks at some point this year, especially against those teams I mentioned, because Nurk is going to do more harm than good.

What I want to see is who here is going to commit suicide when we lose the first game to Denver, tomorrow night?!?!?!?

It's very possible, we will see, but sorry I am preparing myself already.
