if he was the GOAT, why didn't he win more? Serious question. Just on teams that were not good enough?

This is interesting since Kareem also played with Magic.

robertson is one of those guys like west, maravich, and wilt who would still be a superstar in today's game. he was a 6'5, super athletic PG and one of the most efficient scorers of his era. easily one of the best all around players of all time. give him today's rules and a 3 pt line, and he'd be an all star every year. guy was ahead of his time

i wouldn't rank him over magic, but he's very much underrated these days. top 15 player for sure

    This

    Big O was very talented

Problem with the older players is that many didn't get a chance to witness their skills. If they did they would be more favorable

In those days at 6'5" Oscar was very unusually tall for a PG as well. Magic broke the mould forever.

honestly, Boston won 8 rings during his career. The first 6 years, just like West, he was dominated by Russell, who dominated the league.

cap gettin' old. still enjoy him. it's ok if he picked big O, as he (indirectly) indicated, it wasn't about slighting magic. it was about hoping people remembered robertson, i think.

cool to hear he used to visit wilt when he was in hs. imagine that meeting.

People can say whatever they want about Cap, I will always respect him and in the FWIW category, he is the man who really made me take the results of racism to heart and made me realize what a drag it always was and likely will be. He helped me understand and have empathy. Not that I am anywhere close to perfect but when I was really young, I really had minimal understanding or appreciation of other people's positions and experiences in life. I have some now, and much of it is due to him. Thank you Cap!

:Javalebarfbag:Jaren Jackson Jr. Will Be Eligible For $318 Million Supermax Contract If He Wins DPOY This Season

Jaren Jackson Jr. could become eligible for a supermax contract this season.
Jaren Jackson Jr. could qualify for the supermax by winning the 2024 DPOY award
Jackson Jr. won the DPOY award in 2023
The 65-game minimum for awards could be a problem for the big man

    I've always liked Stephen A.

No no no no ..... wait .... umm .... errr ....

    :swear: :swear: :swear:

LOL he says he "knows" Rob would have been gone if he hadn't gotten rid of Russ / pulled off the trades at the deadline. Guess he missed the multi year extension?

Magic was alway my favorite basketball player and it's sad as time has passed how the persona of Magic has started people forgetting his game. He's been a one of one - nobody has played like him or since. Just like Steph's gravity with his 3 point shooting, Magic's passing ability just unlocked defenses in ways that other players just can't. Best comp maybe the way Jokic plays but Magic was a much faster player - teams just got exhausted having to transition from offense to defense in a blink of an eye anytime Magic got the ball. As an offensive player all you had to do was run or cut and you'd get buckets.

I mean who does this stuff in the modern NBA? Great passers like Halliburton and Lebron are great but it's only Jokic who I've seen in the past 40 years who really manipulated defenses with passing like Magic. That pass for example at 15 minute mark for Magic is just insane - he looks off like 3 different defenders and has the ball going the opposite direction to where it eventually goes. Just another routine one for him though

HIm in the modern NBA: my god he hit so many jumpshooters like Scott who took midrange jumpers. In the modern NBA he'd have the 3 point shooting spreading the court for him - put him on a team with shooters and watch him wreck shop
