This d****** 6-6 MJ logic always killed me. He didn't get to the finals in other years, so he lost in 1st, 2nd, 3rd round or didn't make the playoffs (don't care to check). These people thinkg 6 out of 6 is better than 6 of out of 10, for example. Bottles the mind.
tyson chandler always struck me as a good dude. some of the youngsters could look at his trajectory to find their place, imo. he found his role after some searching, then played it to a T. it led to accolades both personal and collective that wouldn't have happened if he insisted on being whatever was projected for him at age 19. and i know it's old news, but kobe showing up and delivering gold at the 2008 olympics was maybe as big for his legacy as anything he did in the nba, for several reasons. delivering the spain game in kobe fashion was just...chef's kiss.
Always hungry for good Lakers conversation and news, so sometimes when nothing is up on LB I just lurk on LG. A member (since 2010) Jocinetu posted this yesterday. "Hello everyone. I want to brag about working on my "NBA Section" YouTube channel, which I'm working on for several years now. After Kobe's untimely departure, I decided, as a big fan of the Lakers and of course Kobe, to pay tribute to my favorite basketball player. Namely, I started to make Kobe's Saga, in which I will eventually cover each of his seasons. There will be a total of 20 episodes, and so far I have done 8 of them (until the 2003-2004 season). Since the channel is in Serbian language, for the first time I did a English translation on one of the videos, and I want to share it with all of you on the forum. If you like it and ask me to, I will also translate the other 7 episodes (until I continue the saga). Enjoy. " Probably even some members here speak his native Serbian language. The guy is putting in a ton of work on his youtube channel for his Kobe passion project which seems very well done. Here's what he put up yesterday to introduce it. If it is translated, not sure how that works.
I'm a little rusty on my Serbian, but I did do a rough translation for those of you that would like to read what the narrator had to say. It's always good to see new unique content from other's perspectives outside the US Translation Let me know if you liked it as much as I did @LTLakerFan
Stupid f***ing generation of superstars... "Nobody Would Care If Kobe Disagreed" - De'Aaron Fox Weighs In On $500 Million vs. 5 Rings Debate Fox sparks debate over money versus NBA championship value. De’Aaron Fox prefers $500M over five NBA championship rings The debate initiated by Arenas comparing Harden's earnings to Horry's titles Fox added that late Lakers legend Kobe's opinion does not matter Sacramento Kings' sensation, De’Aaron Fox, has never been one to shy away from voicing his opinions. This time, he's at the center of a heated debate that has basketball fans and analysts split down the middle. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Fox didn't hesitate to state his preference for a staggering $500,000,000 over five coveted NBA championship rings. His statement, while direct, echoes a sentiment shared by several of his contemporaries and came as a response to a broader conversation initiated by Gilbert Arenas, who had previously set the stage by comparing James Harden's lucrative career earnings with Robert Horry's multiple championship accolades. As discussions reached a fever pitch, fans didn't shy away from drawing parallels, even evoking the spirit of basketball legend, Kobe Bryant. One fan's assertion that the "Black Mamba" would not approve of Fox's monetary stance led to an audacious retort from the young King. Fox, showcasing his fearless demeanor both on and off the court, quipped that, "Lmao I can tell you with 100% certainty that nobody would care if Kobe disagreed with them. With all due respect to a legend." And why do you need this money to put platinum implants in your girlfriend's dog ? You already have close to amount that Kobe and Shaq earned combined and will get another 2 or 3 super max contracts
