he, bridges, and haliburton should be invited back, for sure, imo. after that, i'm not sure anyone--including edwards--would be on my protected list. maybe banchero.
Austin and Max are only a short time away from dominating the NBA. Only the amount of time it takes Ham to figure out what he has. Which may be longer than I think. He has shown himself to not be very good at recognizing talent. He is too busy holding the vets accountable...lol.
Dropping this in here: https://www.si.com/nba/lakers/news/...reaves-as-best-overall-team-usa-player-ns2002
And that "best overall player so far" post on Instagram was back on August 28. Not that Austin did anything in the games that followed probably to lower that person's opinion.
https://www.theringer.com/nba/2023/...-wagner-dillon-brooks-shai-gilgeous-alexander the "reaves hunted on defense" thing is going to become a trope. sorry, bro, those lithuanians would have posted jaden mcdaniels's scrawny-legged a**, no problem. and they would have ignored him and herb on the offensive end.
That is what most of you were saying about him making the roster the season before and last season he wouldn't get any playing time...lol. He just keeps proving you guys wrong.
Not sure I did, always loved AR. He did had a surprising development and is better than anyone anticipated. Anyway, Reaves did hit the rookie wall which is normal and part of the development. The exaggeration is even more blatant with Max. Who will likely be a great player, he works a lot and has tons of potential. But dominating the NBA seems a bit too much for someone who still has a lot to prove and has yet to play meaningful minutes in NBA. Don't know why folks put too much pressure and expectations on guys in their early 20s (or less!!), yet to reach the peak of their physical, mental and basketball ability.
See your points but I think Toklat’s statement meant as a pair on the perimeter together at some point.
The thing was Austin's development wasn't surprising at all. It is also pretty easy to see Max has that talent. Me stating what I think about their development doesn't add any pressure to them because they couldn't care less what I think. The odds of them ever reading anything I post is almost non-existent and if they did I'm not sure that some old guy from Alaska saying good things about them is going to derail their careers. They are built for this game. That is why they will be so good. They thrive in pressure and eat it like candy. It is going to be okay.
