i'd have to google some of those names. but...why does james jones get any credit if rob doesn't? jones inherited booker and ayton and had durant and beal force trades there. if having guys force trades to you is a special gm skill, rob did that, too. guess they're still holding the westbrook trade against him.
It's crazy how much things like hoarding draft picks / tanking for higher draft position weighs on these kinds of lists.
It's crazy how low the Lakers hating media ranked our off season. They'll find out this year what's what.
i chalk it up to the fantasy mentality. i guess it's the only way to make it different than just team record? anyway, all this "watch out in the future" stuff is great for gm job security and usually bad for the franchise/fans.
Clearly another meaningless virtual award or indications that goofballs are doing all the voting. No racial.
It's a JOKE the disrespect this guy gets in most polls. ^^^ However what really matters is TwitterX types now waking up. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/nba-twitter-reacts-christian-wood-085444244.html
Definitely not scrambling any more. Made killer moves at the deadline last year which helped us get to the WCF against the eventual champs. Resigned everyone to decent contracts, added a lot more depth this summer, had a solid draft. No more scrambled eggs for Rob. More like poached.
With all the bad contracts that we saw handed out this offseason, we gave none. We actually managed to get insane value for almost all of our signings.
Damn good work for someone who will get frozen out during exec of the year voting. The ONLY complaint is backup big balance. We have two risks with Wood and Hayes. I wanted one risk and one Mr. Dependable. That's why I wanted Biyombo plus one of the other. I think that's likely what we have today, if Rob had any idea both Wood and Biyombo would've been available in September (I don't think Hayes would've been a Laker). If that played out different, Rob would've gotten an A+ from me. Instead he'll have to settle for an A. Still a better summer than 75% of the league had.
Love what he did this summer. We are loaded and have really good contracts all around. Resigned all of the best pieces of last year's WCF playoff push plus our resident superstars AD and Lebron. No downsides anywhere. The Vando contract is just another solid signing here to go along with the others.
I love this. Any but Reaves are good trade assets for a disgruntled star 2 years from now. What a brilliant job
this and we only gave up the one 1st in dumping russ, which means we can be competitive and have the salaries and draft picks to get the next lillard type if we want him.
BS, Smith. Jeanie just extended him multiple years prior to the season and didn’t blame Russ on him IMO.
