Danny Green said out of all his 3 rings, he would pawn the Lakers one, because it costs way more than the other 2.

What a jacka** thing to say, whether he means it or not with all the money he’s made.

I didn't care for him on the Lakers. I felt his performance was substandard, and he focused more on his dang podcast than being on top of his game. I don't respect that.

I don't consider him a Laker, so to me, it makes perfect sense he's not attached to that ring and willing to give it up.
    1. He doesn't feel like a real Laker
    2. Fans gave him hell for his suckage
    3. It's a high value ring
    4. It has no sentimental value for him
Lame question to be asked, but I suppose any athlete with multiple rings will ponder such things in the dark. Glad he was truthful and revealed what I already felt to be true. That was part of my issue with signing 1 yr mercenaries all the time on Bron teams. It's no fun to root for, and there is no continuity. I'm glad he's gone, and I'm glad our approach has changed to team building.

i mean, he said it was because he could get the most value--basically, he dodged the intent of the question. the internet's reaction is all based on the answer out of context, which the laker haters claiming it's further evidence that ring doesn't count and the green haters saying he's just bitter because he generally sucked here.

this is true with the exception of the younger fans. there's a whole generation of kids who were rasied in the 2010s watching the clippers make the playoffs every year with paul/griffin while the lakers finished in the basement. can't blame them for gravitating towards the clippers

if you watch the interview it wasnt as bad as it seems. he truly said he valued the lakers title because of kobe, the bubble etc but that he also realizes it prob would get the most $. the interviewer phrased it "if things were to go bad". thats why i think danny brought up the $

I was sitting there thinking I wish I had moves like Jokic.

    :Kobe Shrug:

is it bad that I don’t see what’s so bad considering the song selection?

and to Green, even if taken out of context, nothing changes how I feel about him. Even if ill informed of the tone of the response, my answer on him the player and lack of focus while he was here remains the same.

It’s cute! He is having fun, even though he looks like an idiot. Give him credit, I don’t think anyone on that dance floor really knows how to dance either. It’s his 1st title. He never danced before

So … Mr muscles …. Greek God …. I know is not a center but when he gets switched onto Jokic … how does HE do defending him? Is he close to what Dwight was able to do with his muscles in 2020?

giannis isn't as big in the base as howard was. jokic is a load; you need a guy with tree trunks to keep him from being able to use his body in the post. you know a guy that i think might have given him trouble? zaza pachulia. he was deceptively strong and had reasonably quick feet, too. he used to give cousins fits, iirc (cousins still scored, but he had to work incredibly hard for it compared to what he normally did, and it led to inefficiency and frustration).
