The one positive about getting swept is that these guys should come back even hungrier next season.

The great thing to me, is that the guys that were here before the Westbrook trade, turned out to be our best players. I love the addition of Vanderbilt, but the potential 57 million investment in the other 3 guys, can be used to net us even better fits. Great job Rob.

Damn, this one hurt. We tried it all but they are just really good. Jokic is a joke, those falling away with the shot clock going down threes just killed us, happened twice.
LeBron stopped attacking on the 3rd quarter (understandably saving energy for the 4th) but others haven't stepped up unfortunately

Our team fought hard all year, you gotta appreciate that as a fan. We had a mess of a roster last year and had no hope with the roster that started and played for more than half of this season. We turned it around and made the WCF after beating 2 really good teams. We fell short to the best of the West. I imagine this same series a year from now with the same crew would have a different outcome.

We definitely moved forward this season as a franchise and I hope we build on that and don't throw away the progress done.
We have to consider we are paying Reaves and Hachimura so those 57 millions aren't entirely to be replaced by new players

Someone needed to Bump this thread...
Feeling pretty positive about the offseason moves so far.
Gonna miss Schroder, but like the Vincent acquisition..
Need to add depth & security at Center, but really happy with the direction.

Not sure why some in here didn’t like the Vincent signing. The dude was instrumental in the Heat making a deep playoff run. Yeah, in the Finals, he wasn’t good, but neither was their entire team. I hope Hayes decides to put in the extra time with Handy to develop a jump hook down low. Even before that, he will be an obvious lob threat. We’ve missed having another big besides AD to complete this high percentage play. I’m not expecting much from Cam, but sometimes it takes guys to be placed in the right situation at the right time to flourish- a la Lonnie during our recent playoff run.
I love the addition of Prince. A wing who can space the floor and provide decent D on the other end always is needed. He’s a huge upgrade of Troy Brown Jr.

when I watched Vincent in the ECF, I was impressed with his vision and ability to run the team. Outstanding pickup for a backup.

again, sub dlo in for vincent here, and conference finals for finals. both guys turned into a pumpkin when their team lost.

and again, not disparaging the signing, just providing the reasoning for concern/tepid support.

Continuity. The big minute rotation guys are all back. Ham can add new wrinkles to the offense and these guys can stack up the chemistry after getting a camp under their belt.

There's still a couple empty slots but as of today there's no one on the roster that I hate or that's going to be difficult to watch or support. Jaxon could land there if this breaks the wrong way, but I largely trust our structural tent poles to keep that straight.

I think overall we improved. Not by leaps and bounds, but I don't think that kind of move was possible given the FA class and what we had to work with. We have depth and perimeter size.

Like what we did. I think, health permitting, we're right back in the mix next post season.

..... on the Schifino pick, just plant your Laker eyeballs on this 2nd photo from above of just turned 20 JHS. He could "bang" with Marcus Smart tomorrow and probably hold his own.

The off-season was good for the Lakers as they got marginally better at the wings: Prince and Christie will be definitely playable in the playoffs IMO and didn't get worse at any other position.

OTOH problem is that they basically improved against everybody but the team that swept them: they have no one to throw at Jokic like Dwight in the Bubble year and both DLO/Vincent didn't play well against Denver
