I’m on record as saying I’d take a flyer on Castleton as third center if we can’t get Wood or Biyombo. I don’t mind developing him at all. But no way I favor him for that roster spot over either of those guys. They are both vets and can just plug in.

All true I’m just not willing to take that risk if I’m the FO. I think we have something special brewing for this season as the roster stands now.

I haven't contributed much this summer re: Wood. I know he does not have good locker room presence and that's probably an understatement. But, for the minimum, if you want someone who can eat minutes and keep us afloat when (not if) AD misses some games, he can do the job. I'd be OK with him for the minimum, because we do have guys who can keep his behavior in check this season. We'd be set at every position with this addition to the team. Not ideal, obviously, but can't do better with the $$ we can spend.

Lane was asked about this on the Kam bros pod and said multiple Lakers with influence went to Rob and said let's not do this, let's not go down this path. He's also heard Rob still might do it just because of value.

In my book, there's very few that have roster input on this team:
    1) Bron
    2) AD

    3) DLO

If two of my locker room leaders say no, then I'm not pursuing this player. It's not worth it.

Wow, ok. I mean at Vet min even? I guess he's a bummer and they've had enough drama with Russ and Pat Bev. Ultimately I'm fine with whatever we choose to do here, it's the 14th roster spot after all. Would be nice to get some big man insurance however. As abeer said, it's not a question of if but when in terms of AD going down with an inevitable injury at some point this season. Also just getting someone in to keep his minutes down would be great. Let's try to get Biyombo then.

As long as we can roll into the playoffs with LeBron and AD semi rested and healthy, that’s all that matters. I think we will end up the fourth or fifth seed.

amazed it took this long for the league office to make such a statement.

again, i tend to be pro-players in cba stuff, but this "sign a supermax then demand a trade" s*** is wack to nth degree. lost a ton of respect for lillard especially.

you want to wield power like that, use your free agency. you tried to have your cake and eat it, too, all while s***ting all over people who did less egregious stuff, imo. gtfo. all you had to to do was not sign that massive extension.
