There more I see him play, the more I like. A guy who can play D and shoot will always have a place on any team in the NBA. Let him learn and grow this year with South Bay and see if we have a spot for him on next season’s roster.
I liked him last game. He seems to have game. Pity he's undersized. Curious to see how he plays in G-league, he can dominate it
Hodge is listed at 6 foot 4. Is that really undersized? I don't feel like he is. He's listed as the same height as Lonnie Walker IV.
He seems small on the court though. Decision making hasn't seen so great at times: a little of that going to let if fly just because I have ball mentality that Beasley had last year. That being said last game seemed to where things seemed to click for him
Guy has a quick release for sure. Really quick on D. Would be great if he could turn into a Schroder kind of player but taller at 6’4” with a 3 ball.
He is the shooter we thought we were getting in Beas. But he plays D, too. Why wasn't he drafted? Really want to see if either of those translate at the adult table.
super nice looking stroke, and super fast release. Could be very deadly off the bench. Kudos to our draft team once again. Just an amazing job year after year. If I'm Chicago, I fire my draft team and just keep sniping the Laker talent with guaranteed contracts lol.
Summer League Review I think we should invest time and energy in him as our 2 way shooting project over Swider.
Yeah, I hope this is obvious to the coaching staff. Hodge could definitely help this team, maybe as soon as later in the season. Swider needs feet replacement surgery.
I like this guy a lot, I wonder if he’s too small or if he can adjust in time and make it to the league. He has such a nice shot, he reminds me so much of KCP, he’s currently 7-11 on threes for 23 points.
Yet another example of why I don't like automatically burying young players just because they are young and putting fake ceilings on them. We have so many good young players it will be hard to play them all but at least give them the chance to show what they got. We just need to put those little wheels in Swider's shoes...lol.
little smaller, not close in athleticism, but a much better shooter than kcp (especially young kcp). that release is quick, and he's hitting on the catch, off the dribble, even a stepback in there. in the big league, he'll probably just be a catch and shoot guy, but being able to do the rest tells me that his catch and shoot will be reliable. again, just need to see the defense against nba-level guys. he's listed at 6'4" 190, and that's his big limiting factor. he's not a pg, so he'll need to prove that he can defend nba sgs, who are mostly larger than he is.
