Last 2 sentences are contradictory. Agree with abeer on his view of this whole situation.

This is just so strange to me. So many questions that my inquiring mind really doesn’t care enough to get the answers to.

Yeah, he’s coming off looking like a real Diva. I think it’s only kind of fair if you give your current GM a list of teams. Also, saying that you won’t show up for work when under contract is weak and childish.
It’s not like he’s being forced to work in a coal mine for minimum wage. He signed his massive contract and should abide by it. If I ran this League, I would put in place new stipulations to clean up this issue.
If a player is traded, against his will to a new team and refuses to report and play, his contract becomes void and loses the right to sign a new NBA contract for an entire calendar year. His next contract can only equate to one full season of basketball. At the end of that contract, the player can then sign a multi year one.
This would end all of these ridiculous trade demands. I’m all for player movement, but this has gotten out of hand.

Yeah, you could be right. Although, most of this may be attributed to the fact that Wemby is the most hyped player to enter the NBA since LeBron.

Did you hear her scream, "That's America for you, F you all!"
I am pretty sure that was her.

Wemby needs to add a lot of strength to his base. He will be going up against guys much, much stronger than himself when the real games start.
He looked good on defense though.

So raw. It's a joke that some people are calling him the best prospect ever coming into the league. All of these players were so much better than him in their first year in the league:

    Kareem
    Magic
    Bill Russell
    Wilt
    Tim Duncan
    Shaq
    LeBron
    KD
    Admiral
    Bird
    And many others.

He may eventually become an impact player but he is not leading the Spurs deep into the playoffs anytime soon.

Yeah he was getting pushed around easy today, honestly getting fouled a lot with no calls too, but hey it’s the NBA, gotta adjust. Gonna take him a while to get used to the physicality and everyone going for strips on him as he goes up because he’s not very strong. I think he a absolutely went to the right franchise though, the Spurs will likely play it right where he could be set up to fail elsewhere.

Add Bill Walton to that list above for sure. Yeah he’s a tall twig out there with skinny legs. Going to get knocked all over the court until that changes, which is going to take some real time. Castleton’s legs are great for a tall, young, still not thick enough up top almost 7 footer. I joked Wednesday about Victor ducking him but would have liked to see how that would have gone for bleeps and giggles.

Castelton would have embarrassed Wemby- “Shaq dunking on Dudley” style.
