Really? Missed that one. Weird choice
Don't see him getting MLE money (at least I wouldn't) but we shall see later

I mean he's a good shooter with nice defense and a reliable guy. But you aren't playing him 30 minutes to win games unless it's like Phoenix or wtv. And that's what good teams are looking for with the MLE I guess

DiVincenzo opted out of 4.7 mill, half the full MLE is 6.2

I think 6.2 for Dennis and him may work.

I cant see a team with cap space giving him or Schroder 10 mill, but I may be wrong.

he shot 40% from 3 pts last year.

i was wrong, as vince points out, he opted out of the same money (i thought he was a full tpmle signing like brown/lonnie).

call me weird, but i might take eric gordon on a one-year deal over ddv. good chance they both walk the following year, and gordon is a guy i'd trust for playoff minutes who will be hungry/motivated. i'm quietly excited at the prospect of adding him, providing it doesn't cut into other things.

if we split the mle on schroder/gordon, i imagine it would be something more like 7.5/5. that gives schroder 50% more than the tpmle (which i think many would offer) and gordon more than the bae and about the tpmle (which i think many would offer). you then have the bae for a big (maybe bamba or powell).

    AD/bamba/wenyen
    lebron/rui
    vando/vet min(yuta?)/lewis?
    reaves/ego/christie
    dlo/DS/jhs

that stays below the apron in all likelihood. less exciting than i'd hoped, but very good.

    Weird.

    Hehehe
Naaah I get it, but I I think he's getting close to being washed. Had bad contexts recently too so it's not all on him. DVV defends and rebounds better, I like that in my team. Gordon is a better offensive player, but DVV is decent enough there and we already have Rui (with likely Reaves and Dlo/Schroder) leading the bench with scoring.

I wouldn't do it but if it happens I would be fine with it

ddv is better than gordon, but i think he won't be available at a price that lets us do much else, or if he is, it will be a 1-year rental again.

i just think gordon is the kind of vet that lebron and AD would trust. and actually, our team is kind of short on those (after going disastrously whole hog on that the previous year).

these from his own head? he doesn't do reaves or bamba.

i think carter fetches more than schroder, but i'd be happy to have either as backup pg.

dlo and rui at those numbers would be good, imo.

i wouldn't go that high for ingles or reddish. both are vet mins to me at this point. i'd love ingles on the vet min as our backup sf.

i think craig might fetch over vet min.

He didn't say what calculations went into their projections.

They did AR but I didn't bother mentioning it since his year 1 is locked in. He has him at $12-14m.

    He forgot Bamba, I guess.

Agreed on Cam. He's in the min mix for me. There seems to be split views on Yuta. I've seen some price him at the min and some as high as the TPMLE, I don't think he's worth near the latter. If Powell is at the min rate, I'd consider giving him the BAE. there's only 6 centers valued at higher than the min. Bigs are going to get overpaid because the market is lacking.

assuming the full mle isn't going to brown (i don't see it), i'm good with offering schroder 2 years 15 million with a player option. he says he wants to see if we appreciate him; i'm interested in whether he appreciates getting a big stage for his second chance. it was him that turned down the extension back then, and i haven't forgotten that as much as i enjoyed having him last year.

Going for the money after winning a chip. I respect it, but I don't have to like it.

I think the reports of Brown being a top target were overblown. With (likely) DLo, AR, Christie needing PT, and potentially at least one of Dennis/Lonnie, it’s not a pressing need to blow $12.5M. Sure, Brown brings value, but this had all the makings of his agent leaking our interest to drum up value.

Our FO has minimized leaks for a while with our draft picks and FAs usually coming out of left field. I expect that trend to continue this next week.
